Yes, all the time:
"Special Thanks to the Fans..." smile

Seriously though, no. Never. There were a couple times where I thought I might be thanked, but it was not to be.

One day perhaps.

Actually I have been. I purchased a score (Intrada's The Blue Max) from a seller on eBay who resides in Japan. When the cd arrived, I found a note inside the booklet with something written in Japanese. It actually resembled an obi strip that the seller created himself. I had a co-worker who speaks Japanese interpret it for me and it thanked me for my purchase and hoped I would leave positive feedback. So, I was thanked in a cd booklet!

For what it's worth, I've been mentioned twice so far in the production credits of:

CAPTAIN KRONOS: Vampire Hunter (Laurie Johnson)
THE WHITE DAWN (Henry Mancini)

After I read this tongue in cheek comment to my husband this morning, he reminded me that we both were REALLY thanked in a cd booklet. My son thanked us each personally in the first cd that his band released. He used my favorite title in the booklet... "mom".

Along with several others here, I was thanked in the Elfman/Burton box:

I'm also credited in the Caldera release of Söderqvist's KING OF DEVIL ISLAND, but that's because I was host in the audio commentary track.

That's it for me as far as CD booklets are concerned.

8 years later, and still no more CD booklet mentions than those, as far as I know. I've long thought about selling myself in more aggressively as a liner notes writer, but nothing ever came of it. I've been too busy writing regular articles and stuff.

Yes , I think.

Not good enough!

I have; in Lukas’s Sky Fighter.

I’m also expecting a little tip of the hat from Hans in his next release.

I once suggested a horror score to one of the labels and they even
released it which was great and I thought that I would get, at least,
a small "thank you" credit. But no - well, that's life big grin

And, indirectly, FSM’s fantastic Eye of the Devil release includes a nod to the late Greg Twyman (gumdrops1), which I suggested to Lukas and he kindly agreed.

It’s the kind of score Gummy would have lapped up, with a resounding “yuk yuk!”

I got a thank you for bringing ON THE THRESHOLD OF SPACE by Lynn Murray to the attention of Nick Redman and Intrada. Considering what a pest I was about releasing this personal grail, I was doubly grateful for the mention. (Of course, Mr. Redman was always a class act.)

Oooh, that's nice. I wasn't aware of that.

Yep - Lukas, like Nick Redman, good guys both.

I've been thanked in some of the releases I supported financially via Kickstarter.

No, but one day it will: "LLL and Intrada would like to thank Captain Kaos for digging out the "The Rockford Files"-, "Magnum, p.i."-, "The A-Team"- & "Airwolf"-tapes in Universal's vaults. Without his enthusiasm the whole operation would have been failed." smile

I was mentioned Lovingly by Ken Thorne about his use of that very Famous 50 Member London High School Band for Superman 2.

I've been thanked in actual books, but not in a CD booklet, that i can recall.

Ironically, you're now thanked in Quartet's latest "Total Recall" release.

The Big Fix and the DE of Looney Tunes: Back in Action from Varese, as well as Intrada's RSNO recording of Black Patch/The Man.

And then I got credits on Lionheart: The Deluxe Edition from Varese, as well as Leigh Phillips's General Electric Theater (for which I wrote the notes); I'd have to check and see if I also got thanks in addition.

Yavar
