Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" from Rumors. Every time I hear it I think it is the best darn Bond song which was not a Bond song! Close your eyes and you can totally see Maurice Binder's titles in your head. Even the lyrics work well- "Run in the shadows....damn your love, damn your lies..." Loved it so much I added it to my Bond playlist in iTunes!

Anyone agree?
I don't get any Bond feeling from it but I *do* associate that very song with Marvel Comics' Master of Kung Fu book, which during its Paul Gulacy-art period, was a "Bruce Lee in the World of James Bond" subgenre.
IMO the best non-Bond "Bond" song there ever was is "Once and Again" by Piero Piccioni and Shawn Robinson: Edit - can't get the video to show up so here's the link:
He has a newer album comprised of other artists redoing his works, BUT the brilliant gem therein is his own original track, which I am ***certain*** was submitted to someone as a Bond song (for Skyfall):
For You
from the album
Dead Moon Falling
The quality here isn`t as good as the album... much bass missing, but you get the picture. My kind of Bond song/title screen/film.
