Any chance Quartet will make this available for download like they did Basic Instinct and Total Recall?
Would be happy with that if had digital booklet

Ordered. This is and probably always will be my all time favourite Goldsmith score and one of my favourite films. I'm elated that Quartet has released this wonderful score. Can't wait!

Mine too.

Indeed, This was one of the very first Goldsmith scores that I fell in love with and have purchased every incarnation since. LOVE the work here immensely.

BRAVO Quartet!!!

What about this:
Gift From the Sea (Film Version) (8:18)

Does that mean there was another version? Just curious. I didn't see anther version in the tracklisting.

That's just to distinguish it from the identically named track on the previous albums. The main difference is one of assembly, though I believe a few micro-edits are also restored.

I haven't heard this one in an age, even though I've had the LP since the late 1970's (I only transferred it to cassette, never to digital). Now I know why I never bothered getting the cd, because THIS was coming!

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC NEWS! It will be a third purchase for me but totally justified. Nicely done Quartet gentlemen.

While we're at it, may I ask about a possible release of François de Roubaix's Daughters of Darkness? A release was rumored (make that confirmed privately) over five years ago, and yet we are still waiting. I know that the term 'Holy Grail' has been long overused, but Daughters of Darkness is very near the last remaining grail on my list.

In the meantime, FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! Again!

So glad that Matessino had an opportunity to do this. One of Jerry's all-time best. Ordered.

aaaaand ordered! Lovely score, one of Goldsmith's very best. I have the old Silva screen version I got from a remainder bin years ago so I'm really looking forward to hearing this!

This is one of a handful of scores that, once merely the title is stated, the main theme pops into my head and stays there for days. And days. And days. And that's before I even hear the new CD.

I'm not complaining. smile

am so SOLD on this release that I already placed my order from SAE without even bothering to combine it with anything to save on shipping like I usually do. I can't afford to risk missing out on such a definitive presentation of one of the greatest Goldsmith scores of all time.

Ditto. I'm not missing this, and at 1,000 copies, you know this is going to go fast.

I should think so; this one I ordered directly from Quartet.

Ordered at Quartet to get the fastest service and avoid the sell out.
That's my second order in 2017 from that label after "The White Buffalo" and David Shire's music makes my day.

On the plus side, even if it sells out, a few years later another label will likely re-issue it.

Excellent news. Ordered. As others have noted, 1000 copies is too low for an essential Goldsmith title. I expect this to sell out pronto.

2017 has been a lackluster release year for me (so far) but this one makes me happy. Consider it ordered.

Great score, and this looks to be an equally great release.

By the way, Quartet, there are two f's in Schaffner.
