I admit it. That got all the smiles.

Aside from the low synth thuuuudddddsss, the too frequent cut-to-black sots, and the annoying piano at the end, I liked the trailer. Especially some of the really cool shots, like jetting upward from the desert.

Have Hans and Harold started working yet? Yes they have. There was a recent picture of them together back in June. Link?

Erik you're just... #facepalm, just like your analysis... The irony is you probably don't have the same comments to make when Desplat or Giacchino score 5 films/PROJECTS a year ! Oh and yes Hans did so much this year, a documentary that has 30 min of music, Widows that has 15 min of music. He wrote a 4 min theme for the FIFA World Cup ! Unbelievable ! He helped craft the FIFA video game with Lorne ! You know what, he also scored a 2 min commercial for Land Rover ! So busy !!! He is SO much invading your space with his hours of noises ! Now Top Gun... Just try to be serious one minute and understand how Hollywood works. It's a business, not your fantasy land of the arts. Faltermeyer is a great guy who hasn't scored any big movie in nearly 30 years... Sure Harold used to work with Bruckheimer in the 80s, a million years ago, things have changed. You think Jerry or even Tom Cruise would take any chances ? No way. Hans, not only a fan of Harold, is the best thing that can actually happen to Faltermeyer. Because Hans will be his shield on this project. Hans will let him do his thing (and have a lot of fun doing it with him) and if it fucks up, he will take the blame and pave other directions. Faltermeyer alone on a project like this is probably just a big risk for him to get fired halfaway in the process. Kosinski's directing the movie, and even though the guy is all in to let Daft Punk & M83 score a big budget movie despite their lack of experience, he had Joseph Trapanese, who knows how to write a big action scene, patching things up to make it work on a modern film. It'll be no different. It's just exciting to see 2 german synth boys from the 80s go and have fun together to pay respects to Tony Scott. Preach it!! *unlimited clapping*

LOL! Are these the same people who get upset when John Scott isn’t hired for the latest Terminator film? Or Lee Holdridge, Bruce Broughton or anyone else of those "hot" guys.

I agree 100%. Faltermeyer should be doing this on his own. You guys always leave out the intentions of the composer... perhaps like Hans Zimmer, Faltermeyer ENJOYS working with others. HF hasn't done much co-composing though, only DIDI DER DOPPELGANGER from 1984 with Arthur Lauber.
