More Bonds are coming - from press release above:

"may be enough for Bond fans...for now..."

Good news on all fronts. Great release and the hope of more to come as added bonus.

Hopefully many more and not just the Arnold ones.
Can finally dispose of another footwarmer in favour of the definitive edition. Thanks LLL.

Yes, I'll be really excited if we will finally see the remainder of the pre-1989 scores.

This is a great purchase for those who do not own the original album but the latter is a actually a very good representation of the score so i will stick with that.Unlike the 2 CD set of Die Another Day which was badly in need of expansion which i purchased almost immediately.

The original album was indeed a good representation of the score (far more so than DAD’s original album), but with the key word being “representation.” This isn’t the original album padded out with filler. There are essential tracks being released for the first time here. If you don’t have “Snow Business” or the gunbarrel and bank opening, you’re missing out.

Up to you, of course, where you spend your Washingtons, but this is a great purchase for those who do or do not own the original album.

I don't have the original and you gave me incentive to get this ; on sale!

Am I the only one that's really curious about that "Gunbarrel (Separate Elements)" track? I wonder what it will entail...

One assumes it simply does not fade into the next cue?

I am too. Given the length of the gunbarrel and the length of that track, I’ll bet it’s the different parts of the gunbarrel separated out—orchestra, electronic overlay, etc.

I do not hope there are cross fade effects here - Neil S. Bulk have A tendency to use Those frown

[reads track list on new album]

2. Submarine #1 4:11
3. Submarine #2** 6:26

Two cues that on the original album were combined with [checks notes] a crossfade! It's like you don't even know me, man!

Neil

i know you well - speically after Gremlins 2 and those cross-cues that were misplaced

Why mention submarine when there are several other tracks like opening cue where there could be a potentian cross-fate that should not be there (read: if it does not appear like this in the film, dont cross them) wink

I seem to remember there was a tie-in (with Bacardi?) with another Bond film (Casino Royale, maybe) which allowed people to download and mix all of the individual musical elements of the Bond theme.

Yes, it was Casino Royale, and it may well have been Bacardi. Specifically it was the music from the trailer. Not sure who composed it.

Once again, you don't even have the damn thing and it's "Bitch Bitch Bitch."

If you're not happy, don't buy it.

FFS!

Then you must know that my responsibilities on the Gremlins 2 album were very different from those on the new 2-disc The World Is Not Enough album, but don't let that get in the way of your narrative.

I wonder if Arnold was trying to throw people off by mentioning that TND was coming (though I have no doubt that one's in the pipeline too).

I'd say it's most certainly in the "pipeline".

Does the album contain the blast of the Bond theme during the bunker escape?

Congratulations on this release, guys!!

I assume that the hint of more to come means that expanded TOMORROW NEVER DIES, CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE discs are come too.

Like so many other people, the folks at La-La-Land included, I hope this eventually results in expanded releases of things like THUNDERBALL (there's still 20 minutes of stuff missing from that score), THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN, THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, MOONRAKER, OCTOPUSSY and A VIEW TO A KILL.

And, as you know, I'd be up for double disc edition of YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER and LIVE AND LET DIE too, one disc the old album programme and one disc the complete scores done chronologically.

But, hey, I'm actually doing something here that I hate—which is wishing on a star for future things, when the real news is that there's new stuff to enjoy in the here and now.

Cheers

I absolutely ADORE LLL´s extended Bond score releases and definitely hope they will continue.

My personal preference would be (after LLL going backwards from DAD) to have them jump to those scores which remain in their current truncated versions (TMWTGG, TSWLM, MR) before they go back to those scores which are already available with more material.
