And Kim Peterson bitching about sleeves or digipacks. Or basically about Varese in general. Surprised Locotus hasn't said anything negative either.

and trstnvnk not bringing anything al all besides same old personal attacks. razz

Lots of unreleased stuff, hopefully coming with this set !

Ishtar, My Bodyguard (it's supposed lost but who knows), and Justice for all, Goodbye Girl, Clara's Heart, Milagro Beanfield War, Great Northfield Minnesota Raid, Murder by Death, Midnight Man and so on

could be Grusin at Universal or Grusin at Columbia !

not to mention LP to CD issues: Winning, Bobby Deerfield, W.W. and the dixie dancekings

Definitely underrepresented on CD and such a major and talented composer

I´m over the moon!

Tough on my wallet after DRACULA and the last two LLL batches - but Grusin is a MUST for me, of course!

Any Grusin will be most welcome, but I've really got my fingers crossed for TELL THEM WILLIE BOY IS HERE.

What I find funny about this thread is how immutable we've all become here.

Justin Boggan wonders if there's a rejected score.

Basil Wrathbone dismisses it before knowing the contents.

Last Child hopes for television.

haineshisway assumes they're profiting off of his work.

drivingmissdaisy cheerfully deflects it all.

And SchiffyM condescendingly lectures everybody here.

The only things left would be for Thor to hope they're incomplete, Mr. Marshall to report on what Grusin he's seen in the used bins, First Breath to wish for synths, and Yavar Moradi to hope that at least one of the Grusins is a Goldsmith!

Schiffy nails it again.

Nails what? That he's wrong as usual? Dont like that generalization? I don't appreciate generalizations based on his faulty, selective memory (except for the one about Yavar).

Well, it would be easiest for Varese if all four films came from the same studio, so my wish would be for a "Grusin Westerns at Universal" set.

These would include:

A MAN CALLED GANNON (1968)

TELL THEM WILLIE BOY IS HERE ((1969)

SHOOTOUT (1971)

THE GREAT NORTHFIELD MINNESOTA RAID (1972)

Something tells me I'm going to be disappointed though. Isn't the "Limited Editions" stuff usually from old LP releases?

I'm convinced one will be BOBBY DEERFIELD.

Reading the posts..man..there can't be a miss here..all great scores yet to be released.
I own WINING as an LP so not eager to see that one released as a selfish person I am..
( just kid din`)
Wish for
MURDER BY DEATH
FUZZ
IT TAKES A THIEF
and
any of the previously mentioned ones...but I guess
it´ll be

BOBBY DEERFIELD along with WINING
THE MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR
and
MALICE

Varese have done Grusin LP to CD releases quite a bit recently.
THE CHAMP.
ON GOLDEN POND.
THE ELECTRIC HORSEMAN.
Maybe they're about to add WINNING & BOBBY DEERFIELD.

Me, I'm gonna hope for My Bodyguard, but given it's Grusin, I ain't gonna be disappointed whatever comes!

Actually, I speculated, I didn't personally wonder (at least in typed words online) if there were rejected scores. I expect more from SchiffyM, but those happy fun pandas have warped his mind apparently. ;-)

Yeah, if it's just another re-issue of LP-to-CD content, then my interest will go bye-bye.

Uhh...yes that would be a bit disappointing but well for all those who don't own the LPs it´ll be fun.
And my guess is..its gonna be the old lp rereleases..at least for WINING and DEERFIELD.
Still happy about DRACULA thoughwink
Lets wait and see...

You, sir, win the Message Board for that day (I'm a day late, so I can't say for today). Good form!

I do not care for Grusin's music, so I really do not care. I am not buying this watermelon! wink
But, please release this with all the cardboard you want, just use it up before your next release.
I think trstnvnk has a big crush on me, he can not stop talking about me.
