May 5th? Isn't this just the complete CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST by Riz Ortolani they had already announced?

Wonderful score but not one of my holy grails (like THE HUNTING PARTY).

Wait I get it. No mention of vinyl. Now I know why you guys ignored my suggestion.

I am used to being ignored but someone has to explain to me why it isn't CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST as Beat plainly has that released on May 5th.

Because "Cannibal Holocaust" has been already announced.
Why should BEAT make clues und guesses about a release that was already announced. Makes no sense. wink

I'm thinking it won't be any of these, but they're all from the 80's and they're some of the scores I'd most like to see released:

Cammina Cammina (Bruno Nicolai) 1983 (a wonderful LP on Edipan was released, but no CD)

St. Helene (Goblin (with Renato Serio orchestral arrangements) / Buckboard (country songs)) 1981 (the opening and closing themes were released on the Goblin Greatest Hits CD, but there's some great unreleased Goblin music from this film. I'm a bit surprised nothing more has come out)

Raiders of Atlantis (Guido & Maurizio de Angelis) 1983 (a 12" disco single under the name "Black Inferno" was released, but nothing else)

A Blade in the Dark (Guido & Maurizio de Angelis) 1983 (nothing released, as far as I know)

2019: After the Fall of New York (Guido & Maurizio de Angelis) 1983 (nothing released, as far as I know)

I Guerrieri dell'Anno 2072 (Riz Ortolani) 1984 (a 12" single with 2 themes was released, thankfully, but nothing else)

L'Amante dell'Orsa Maggiore (Fiorenzo Carpi) 1983 (a 7" EP was released for this TV series, but no CD)

Someone also suggested "Mezzo destro mezzo sinistro - 2 calciatori senza pallone (1985)" which would be a natural follow-up but to call hit holy grail seems a stretch

However, the De Angelis score for MEZZO DESTRO MEZZO SINISTRO simply recycles the main theme from BOMBER:

"Il tema musicale principale del film è un reprise del tema originale per il film Bomber con Bud Spencer, scritto dai fratelli De Angelis (conosciuti anche come Oliver Onions)."
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mezzo_destro_mezzo_sinistro_-_2_calciatori_senza_pallone

So it would probably be better to release the BOMBER "holy grail" score first. smile

By the way, both scores are owned by the music publisher Cabum, a fortress which had long been closed for Beat Records and where they could step into only last year with L´ALLENATORE NEL PALLONE.

Bomber would make a lot of sense. I still wonder about that one and "Watch Out, We're Mad" not having had albums released.

Love De Angelis Brothers music, they were unusually different in musical style but very cool & effective comparing to other Italian composers gotta love em, if its Bomber or Banana Joe i'll be very happy for either.

This won't have anything to do with this upcoming Beat Records release, but I just read that Riz Ortolani's "I Guerrieri dell 2072" had an LP-only release (god damn it, why does anybody do that?) last year.

As some (including me) supposed (along with "Banana Joe"): it is "Bomber": https://www.facebook.com/BeatRecordsCompany/

Ive got an advent calendar set up with little windows for 51 days.

Nice release for their fans i guess but theres a little pic of me on day 51 with my arms up, perplexed trying work out how De Angelis and holy grail ever appeared in the same sentence. Except this one of course. wink
