Despite my (obvious) adoration of the original, I was more than pleased with both the film and score for the sequel... It's unlikely, but maybe someday we will get an opportunity to see the original 4-hour cut.

ATONEMENT - music by Dario MARIANELLI I'll never tire of the classical strains in this score. No plagiarism, superior to mere pastiche. The work of an amazingly talented composer (IMNSHO).

It's unlikely, but maybe someday we will get an opportunity to see the original 4-hour cut. 4-hour cut? . My behind hasn't quite yet recovered from when I viewed the film in a theater two years ago.

My behind hasn't quite yet recovered from when I viewed the film in a theater two years ago. lol My behind was happy enough to sit though it 3 times in an IMAX theater with incredibly sound coursing through my body. I would be ecstatic to have that opportunity again with the longer version.
