I think it's one of Barry's most underrated scores, very charming and fun. Whenever I tell people that Howard The Duck has a shockingly great love theme, they laugh. Then I play it for them and they say "...okay, you're right." "Howard the Duck" has always been one of those legendary impossibilities, so much so that I almost can't believe this is really happening. But here we are. And three discs! I loved the LP but it left out so much, and the sound was never great. This was probably the first John Barry score I ever heard, and it remains one of my all-time favorites. Actually its a little more than 100 minutes as Doug and Fake allude to in the podcast. But its vintage 80's style of pure Barry gold. But we have enough editions of it. And “...our next release is related to this release in some way.” Many pleasant possibilities spring to mind. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a Barry release. It could be Levay, or Mike Post and Pete Carpenter's music for Captain America with Thick McRunfast (another Universal/Marvel joint).
