YES! YES! YES! This has been my number one holy grail for many years! But....would have liked to have had the Mcneely score included for completeness sake.Just like how Intrada included the rejected Maurice Jarre score for The River wild on that edition.

Do Varese press releases normally not tell us who the creative team of an expanded release is? Who produced this set? Who assembled it? Who mastered it? Who did the artwork? Who wrote the liner notes? You sound surprised, Jason. Your prodding probably got them to add that info but just to the AF1 product page. Star Trek 2009 and especially Rooster Cogburn, an older title, say nothing. Varese continues to be in a special class.

Do you mean the Newman score? I don't think that's really necessary.

Why not? I don't know. Just think the rejected is so different from the final score. I'm not saying the rejected is a lesser work (I've heard it), just that a Deluxe Edition with Goldsmith + McNeely is fine. I mean, yeah it would be nice to have but I get why it wasn’t included. It would also probably make it at least a 3.5 disc set and raise the price substantially. That. Also I presume it would be a rights mess and probably very difficult to release. Plus we don't know if Randy Newman and/or the production company want that score to be released.

So, Byron, you work for Varese AND you have your own label? When I was with Varese, I distinctly recall having to shut down Bay Cities, because, well, you know... Just curious.

Also, no one was really asking for it until now. I’m cool with just the Jerry and Co stuff. Do we know the difference between the "Music Composed by Jerry Goldsmith and Joel McNeely" vs the "Music composed by Joel McNeely"? This was probably covered by a thread somewhere else but only one song is JUST Joel McNeely so does that mean the Goldsmith+McNeely cues were ones where McNeely primarily did the work but it included Jerry's thematic material?
