Maybe this can be one of the reason - Desplat refused to do synth-only score?..

That's a pretty far fetched reason why Desplat would no longer be attached to this film.

I Heard the orchestra is already signed up and in 14 days quarantine ( or however many it needs to be for a group).Once they are clear they will start work.So it's like a period of mental rehearsal.

News is official - Empire Magazine / March 31, 2020 - so, not April Fool.

The score is recorded already. Right before the UK got on lockdown.

lol Baffle don't need no instruments. He can just open Cubase, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Save New Project, job done xD

Easy joke is easy, huh? Why take the high road when the low road is so much easier. There are countless videos from Balfe's many orchestral sessions available online.
