I'm simply surprised that there is no sign of my order on their website. Perhaps I'm just spoilt by the efficiency and meticulousness of SAE.

Orders are automatic so any delay is usually not due to the store. As Morrissey would sayng,

But these things take time
And I know that I'm
The most inept
That ever stepped

Yep! That's me to a tee!

If it was several hours ago, I guess I would be concerned, mainly because you're so close to the end of the sale. If you made a typo with your email address, that could be a problem. Hope you wrote down the order number!

The order was submitted over eight hours ago. I know this because I promptly received a pro-forma email from La-La Land regarding my registration. Thus, there's no problem with my email address.

I have no idea what the procedure is with Paypal. Doesn't the order go through automatically when it's verified and validated?

And why have La-La Land acknowleged my order by simply giving me a bare-bones order number?

Or maybe I'm asking too much of them on a Sunday evening...

Edit: I have just received an email from La-La Land telling me that my order did not go through because I didn't complete it.

This is palpably untrue because I received information that it HAD been submitted upon completion and I was immediately given an order number.

What on earth is going on....?

I've been using Paypal all month for my orders, and everything is near instantaneous. I get an automated e-mail confirmation within minutes.

The initial order number from LLL apparently doesn't mean they've received payment. For example, if you intended to pay by check, the order would exist until they received the check. In this case, you chose immediate payment (paypal), so you should check your paypal account to see if payment was made. Otherwise LLL might not honor the original order.

Word to the wise: Don't wait to the end of a sale on a Sunday night to place an order. Not that I haven't done the same thing. wink

I don't have a Paypal account!

I have just received an email from Paypal telling me that they have accepted payment but I have to set up a bloody account before matters can proceed...

I have just spent the last God-knows-how-long trying to set one up but they insist on my POLISH details. For love of money I cannot enter my US details. I'm here in the States - and am not using my Polish cards!

So La-La Land tell me I haven't submitted an order and Paypal tell me I have!

Go bloody figure!

Edt: So my billing address is my Polish one whereas the card is US. What the hell do I do?

And you don't have a credit card to use? By the way, is this being shipped within USA or Poland? I ask only as a Plan B suggestion.

I am in The US, I have US cards and the shipping address is US (Florida).

BUT the Paypal billing address is POLISH!

And the card details I gave Paypal earlier (when I submitted the order) were US...

Can I just go ahead and give them US card details (again!) despite the Polish billing address?

I was not going to advise you about paypal. I was thinking you should place another order and use a credit card, and hope to delete the paypal order tomorrow (by phoning the credit card company and paypal).
Edit: If credit card is NOT an option, sorry I suggested that.

OK, but I HAVE TO pay via Paypal at La-La Land, no matter what card I use! Which means settting up a Paypal account - which I have done, and giving them card details....

Will Paypal accept the US card if the billing address is Polish - which the card clearly is not?

Since I have not given them my card details a second time, will they take my money? Or have they already taken it?

And how do I get the money back? How do I delete a Paypal order?

I'm not a paypal expert, but I would try doing what they ask rather than not do anything. The shipping address does not have to be to Poland.

As you say, I don't think you can pay with a credit card directly, it's only paypal. I'm thinking the Lalaland folks might understand your problem (especially since it's visible here) and accommodate you tomorrow.

I think this is very sound advice indeed!

Many thanks!

I will phone La-La Land and Paypal tomorrow and sort this out. I hope that they will be as accommodating as you suggest - bearing in mind that I did actually submit an order way before time-up!

But the main take-away from this is ...

DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS!!

GOT IT - FINALLY!!!

Yes, hopefully LLL will forgive the payment hiccup, and still honor the order.
Plan B was I place a duplicate order for you, and we sort it out later, but it's going on midnight so it seems abit too frantic.

I was going to offer to buy whatever for you, and sort it out later, but it's going on midnight so it seems abit too frantic.

That's awfully kind of you, but it is terribly late - in fact, it's just turned midnight as I write this in bleak and dour Spring Hill.

I think I'll wait until the morning and see how things go.

Many thanks, yet again!

Now if we weren't already disgusted with ourselves, this certainly makes a case for it.

You'll have frustrations trying to reach paypal, but eventually, hopefully it will work out. Wouldn't mind reading a final outcome here, if you're up to it by then.

9 units? Not much of a warning.

This wasn’t their first warning...

This is correct. I purchased the set when it reached either 300 or 100 units. LLL gave plenty of warning if one follows these pages.

I follow these pages. I saw no warning. Had it in my cart but couldn't check out due to an error message that said items in my cart couldn't be shipped to the address I entered. Eventually I got the error sorted out (after some email back-and-forth) but it was gone by then.
