Let's not neglect GODZILLA, who was scored by Akira Ifukube over a dozen times. The fourteen different actors inside the suit invalidate that one, Zardoz. You did know that Godzilla wasn't a real person...(?) Or ... perhaps the same stuntman in 14 different rubber suits. How do any of us know? Have we seen inside the Godzilla costume? Besides, I don't know if Toho studios had enough budget to hire 14 stuntmen. Anyway ... shush, Graham ... we're trying to educate zooba that there many more actor/composer combos than just Goldsmith's. Plus Godzilla has instant recognition amongst the public at large.

I think we should exclude Max Steiner. After all, he did score EVERY film of the 1940s, didn't he?

Leon Niemczyk, one of the most prolific character actors in the world, worked his way round the (communist) block during his fifty-year career, appearing in approximately 400 Polish films and TV shows and putting in nearly 150 screen appearances overseas. (Film buffs here might recall his memorable performance in Roman Polanski’s debut film, Knife in the Water.) Regarding Niemczyk’s composer pairings, if I were to stick with Zooba’s cut-off point (2+), I’d be here all night; so I’ll limit myself to just the highest numbers: Eight: Wojciech Kilar, Waldemar Kazanecki, Piotr Marczewski, Jerzy Maksymiuk Twelve: Henryk Kuzniak Fifteen: Jerzy Matuszkiewicz Eighteen: Andrzej Korzynski If I had several hours to spare, I’d post full lists for these pairings; alas, the arms of Morpheus beckon…
