1989 was a great year! We had BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II, GHOSTBUSTERS II, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE, BATMAN, LETHAL WEAPON 2 and WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S. I started 7th grade that year too. Good times!
What a summer at the movies . . .
Fields of Drams, Glory and Abyss.
Saw them all on HBO. Guess I just wasn't going to the theater at that time in my life.

And The Abyss.
I forgot about THE ABYSS, and it's my favorite Cameron water movie, I like it more than TITANIC!
I'm super happy about this. It's not the best score ever written, by a long way, but there are so many lovely moments that I'm eager to be able to sit down and listen to properly.
There are parts of this score that will get stuck in my head for days, I'm assuming from how much I watched the film as a kid.
When I was in New York for the first time in Jan of last year, I had such a great time dragging my poor girlfriend around to different Ghostbusters filming locations. It was only on the last day as we were heading out of the front door that I realised why the street felt so familiar..... we'd been staying only a few doors down from Dana's apartment in Ghostbusters II

Did anyone mention The Burbs’ came out also in 89? And Roadhouse! Well Roadhouse is a hit or miss for some but what other macho movies have a kick butt bar bouncer names Dalton?

I did the same about 8 years ago.
Amazing Did you notice the Ghostbusters II sign through the window? I spotted they had it hanging on the wall inside the firestation.
Sorry guys, I kind of derailed this thread talking about 1989.But back on track, I have always liked GHOSTBUSTERS II and the score! I know a lot of people don't like the film.
I just hope that it's mastered better than what Sony did with GB 1. I'm not trying to start the debate on that album again, but IMO it took away much more from that score than it added. Too bad LLL couldn't have done both of these!

I did notice it - but I think it was the one with the ghost wearing a Santa hat. Still a very cool place to visiit. Your pictures are amazing. Thanks so much for sharing.
Eagerly awaiting the score CD's release. I imagine it will come out in similar packaging to the first film score.
Is this any good...cant really recall it..I know its on peoples wish list for a long time. But glad its coming out. Bernsteins score is one of his best . Not on top of my wish list, but I hope that his other comedy scores like MEATBALLS and ANIMAL HOUSE will see the light of day someday.Might make a nice double header.
