I watched my great grandmother and grandmother trying to walk around with a cane. Their lack of balance made the cane unreliable. Then came the tri-pod cane which was a bit better. Now we baby boomers have "The Walker." It has 4 wheels, and you can use both hands. It holds a phone. My brother fell very ill last year, and he couldn't stay at home without a walker. Thanks, Joan - it has been much better since we had the dome built; less rain, for one thing, and fewer COVID-riddled visitors, and watching their planes bounce off the plexiglass has become something of a spectator sport. Sure, it does get a bit stuffy occasionally, and we couldn’t get everything in. Cornwall, for instance, and much of Scotland, but we got all the important places. Southend missed out as well, but we had to dynamite that bit off and float it into the Channel first.
