Well hopefully they will delay the time limit on the CD one given how long this is taking.

11 days since Roger last confirmed the problem, but silence since. Intriguing.

Frankly, what irks me the most is that the faulty sound was discovered by one of us listeners, and they just said "oh yeah, right, it is actually true"..
I see only two possibilities: 1- no one , as i said before, has bothered to give a listen to the finished product (I can't comprehend how that would be possible, after an allegedly painstaking remastering process) 2- they knew , and didn't say anything.
I really hope there's a third , more favorable option I am not seeing.

I think that's unfair because the clicks are clearly not that obvious. On this thread three say they hear them and three say they don't.

Roger's last update on the Intrada forum was several days ago:

"We think we've identified the issue but need to run some tests. If correct, we'll need to rebuild the master. However, we have Black Patch recording next week so probably be a couple of weeks. We'll definitely give people more time to purchase."

Seems like this "clicking" issue is still awaiting a resolution.

That "couple of weeks" has turned into three months. Very unusual of Intrada to be anything but speedy and decisive when handling a problem.

One interesting point is that the rerecording is also not on digital platforms yet either (or if it was, had been removed as well).

Since the problem was acknowledged, we've had September, October, November, December, January, February... more time needed?

Intrada have been in the middle of their Kickstarter campaign. That must have taken up a fair bit of their time. Now that seems to be finished and off to the plant maybe they’ll have time to look into this if they haven’t already.
They have acknowledged the problem and have said they will fix it so I’m sure they will just as soon as they can.

Personally, both in case of Julius Caesar and Ivanhoe I decided to not upgrade for newer releases.

For me 90's albums sounds perfectly fine in terms of audio quality and I love ascethic look of booklet and cover in both Julius and Ivanhoe.

But, for listeners who didnt have this great albums in collection, both new releases should be essential.

BTW, what about new releases from Intrada? The last one was two "48 Hours" from Horner, so when we can expect another releases?

Just to let you all know, the Julius Caesar replacement discs are in stock. If you need one, reach out to Jeff or the place you bought from. Either will do.

Both Ivanhoe and Julius Caesar have new discs in stock and will be on hand for a couple of months. Getting a replacement is pretty simple: Just contact Jeff through the site and request a new copy. f you originally purchased it from another outlet, just let them know. They should be able to provide you with the new copy as well. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy... or something like that. big grin
