Who produced, assembled, edited, and mixed this new edition? Or does each track just contain one cue with no edits, and an existing stereo mix from 1997 was used? The booklet has a "mastered by" credit (Chas Ferry), "Executive Producer" credit (Cary Mansfield and Neil S. Bulk), and "Associate Producer" credit (Mike Matessino), but no main producer, assembler, editor, or mixer credit.

We had DATs available with the same content, but I realized the analog tapes were truly analog with an extended frequency response. The scoring mixer was Dennis Sands, who was also the scoring mixer on Volcano. The original album (disc 2, tracks 13-22) uses the original digital master.

Thanks, that makes sense! This is the first time I recall having the "editing" and "assembly" credits being unlisted, and handled by an "executive" producer!

I find it enjoyable. I think it's just missing that cool hook to drag you in more.

Anyone else notice that James Newton Howards main theme echoes more than a bit of Goldsmith's Illia's theme from ST-TMP? Oh yeah! Ha!

I just noticed, the end titles are not included in this release. Which is extremely annoying, to say the least. I really want to know what the reason for this is.

Both the Film version and Alternate version of 'The Rescue' are credited to John Frizzell and James Newton Howard while the album version is credited to John Frizzell only. Is this correct?
