Only if it includes a big book on the scoring, a special CD of bonus new recordings, and a replica of the kitchen sink from the composer's house.

I wonder if Intrada will include the album presentation for $10 more— $15 more if you want it remastered.

I love it. We could create a program in the style of an album if one had been released at the time of the film's release for a second disc. And charge $12 more. Perfect. Thanks for the idea!

You joke but let’s be real— if you could, you would. You know it.

Why couldn’t we? We did that with Return from Witch Mountain.

Certainly don't need a stretch goal to add a second disc that recreates a era-appropriate score program culled from the first disc. Very cool idea.

It’s unfortunate given Yavar stated in another post he’s broke and can’t afford anything especially a redundant album presentation but hey enjoy the fun! No one can afford your stuff!

How are you defining "no one"? And someone should let Jeff know...he's drowning in Jumanji orders. Thankfully the soundtrack market is not reflected in the opinions on this message board. You're going to HATE our next release.

Nonono Roger. Doing that second disc as a stretch goal is another way to bilk us gullible collectors into giving you more money to support your high livin’! Don’t pass up this great opportunity!

Thanks for your concern. I’m broke for the time being because I got hit with an unprecedentedly gigantic tax bill (and my wife and I didn’t get any major raises or change our withholding). I don’t know what changed in the tax code or whatever but it’s a major drag, happening during her birthday month and right after I recently spent almost $100 during LLL’s Star Trek sale, which I wouldn’t have done if I knew what was coming.

I’m sure I’ll claw back out of it in time to support Intrada’s new Kickstarter before it concludes, though.

I think one thing that isn't being considered is this:

Roger has said it will be a more expensive project than Intrada's last (Dial M For Murder and Black Patch/The Man). Since the Kickstarter campaign is a way to fund this project, it stands to reason that contributors WANT the title that will be proposed. If they don't pony up the pledges, the project will not go forward.

So, whatever it is, a sufficient number of fans will have made the final product possible. That's "teamwork" and faith in the producers that the title of the score and the performance of same will please enough fans to make it happen.

So what happened to the original poll conducted by Intrada? Dial M has been recorded as has Patch Black. My understanding was Intrada was working down the list!

I know its not this, but my dream project would be re-recordings of Bambi and Pinocchio!

My wallet is ready. Really curious about the title. Either way: Thanks, Intrada, in advance for another re-recording project. Bravo.

Any chance that this is about securing rights to original recordings? I would certainly contribute for this, if this means more original Golden Age recordings.

A new recording would be one that the label OWNS and would be able to exploit for both download and streaming outlets and would be able to license to 3rd parties for film and tv usages.

Those older recordings would cost a fair amount to do and they more then likely wouldn't get Digitial rights as well.

Unlikely.
And I for one woul;d be all in on a Golden Age RE-recording but almost for sure not on an original one.

I’ll do my best to support the recordings (as I’ve always done). Bring them on!

Excited by this as the last two kickstarter recordings have been incredible.

However I have a request that will help international customers. I supported the ‘Dial M for Murder’ campaign but waited and bought the CD release of the Goldsmith recording. The reason for this is that the postage (for reasons entirely out of Intrada’s control) pushed the price of contributing (and getting a copy of the music) out of reasonable range for many people.

I will certainly buy the CD when it’s released but I would love to be able to contribute to the campaign to support the recording. I wonder if this time there could be a download option (with a PDF of the notes I would be happy to pay the same as the CD perk) or perhaps there is a way to add the CD to our intrada baskets so that we can split the cost of the postage with a number of other CDs?
