No way they'd include that. Were those lyrics on the original release of the soundtrack? I thought they censored the lyrics in the opening song or monologue too.

Yes, they were in the original CD release. I have a copy of the CD and can confirm it. The lyrics were even printed in the booklet. I think the original lyrics were also included in the Alan Menkin-Howard Ashman box set, but I haven't checked that. But, of course, they have been cut from both the movie and pretty much all subsequent releases of the soundtrack. I haven't heard the Legacy Collection version yet, but I doubt it's there.

I'm pretty sure I have the original release myself. I gotta check it out.
A Whole New World is the soundtrack version, but track 28 "Ali Comes Courting" does finish with the flourish heard in the movie version of the song.
So does the score track, with the flourish, fade out rather than transition into WNW like in the film? Because of course the album version of WNW begins quietly.
Either way this is very disappointing. The film version of WNW is a different mix and has different vocal performances IIRC.

Yes, I would hope there are more copies on the way. I'd be pretty upset if this turns out to be a "stealth" limited edition! Of all the Disney Renaissance expansions, this was the one I wanted the most. But I was in no rush, as none of the previous titles have been limited or even all that difficult to find. Fingers crossed...

Apparently they're done producing The Aristocats. I missed out on that one. Prices are inflated in the secondary market.
ARISTOCATS was at least available for a good while and sold via other outlets.
I've emailed DME inquiring about ALADDIN, so perhaps they'll respond with some clarification. I'll post if I hear anything back.
In the meantime, anyone who may have picked up an extra copy and would be interested in selling at cost (or possibly trading for some OOP goodie) is welcome to drop me a line via Gmail (johntakis@).
The digital version from apple music isn't CD quality though is it? My previous apple music purchases have been low-quality MP3s, which was one the main experiences that turned me off from digital purchases.
Also coupled with the fact that I had to log in to iTunes every times to access the music...
