Wasn't keen at first but like others grew to love it with repeat listenings. Final week of the movie playing at our local cinema so I'm definitely going to catch it.

I have to say, while I love the music, I thought the film was pretty lame. Yes, it was colourful, but the characters were terrible, with zero chemistry between them and the story was lazy and contrived...and overlong for such a threadbare plot. Pixar have really dropped off in quality for me these days, when compared to their earlier years. And I had to suffer those dreaded words..."Grandad!! I'm bored!! This is rubbish!" from the G-ids. So it wasn't just me underwhelmed.

I think I've only bought 2 of his, since he got the bond gig. One I (still) think is shit, the other decidedly average. So I have tended to swerve away from him (unfortunately).

There's a little hope for Tolkien, if and when I go back to it, it just didn’t make me want to keep playing it. The other no chance . I gave it a few plays but no luck.
