That score has lots of great tracks missing from the original release, so yeah! Bring it on!

Just last week Roger chimed in, in my "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" score thread about doing releases of the music, saying that at the moment its not possible because the studios isn't sure what they are going to do with the property. I assume this translates over to the original trilogy scores as well.

Hopefully they will sort it out to coincide with the new movie as they did with Willow last year? Or was that just timing?

Hi, longtime lurker but first-time poster to FSM. Is it true that the previous Indy CD set was in the incorrect pitch? I hope any future editions would correct this oversight. From what I understand Raiders is the only one at the wrong pitch. The other two scores are correct. Despite the incorrect PITCH, the sound is far better than the DCC. Kind of annoyed that they used the album edit of The Desert Chace, but can live with that. TOD is the one that suffered the most. It appears to have used different mixes. The original Botnix mix for album tracks and the new one for the expanded tracks. That's why "Short Round Helps" sounds so off, when immediately following "Slave Children's Crusade." That and the absence of the film assembly of Finale and End Credits as well as the insert for "Map". Just sounds like something is really missing from that...Willie Scotts Theme. Otherwise, the choice of expanded tracks were perfect. Only needed Fortune and Glory and I'm fine without the rest. The Last Crusade IMHO sounds great!

Despite the incorrect PITCH, the sound is far better than the DCC. Hummm... interesting, because I LOVE the DCC mix by Steven Hoffman in keeping with Eric Tomlinson's vibrant film mix of the score! It just feels more dynamic and less toyed around with. The LSO brass sounds incredible on the DCC album. -Erik- Than it's a win-win for each of us, eh? :-)

It's frustrating isn't it... How such important scores as the Indiana Jones scores, and the Star Wars scores, and most of the James Bond scores, for that matter, remain immune from the kind of treatment they deserve. How all we can have is editions with issues. Just imagine what someone like La-La Land records could do with those if they got the ability to. I pray, probably in vain, to the soundtrack Gods it may happen one day. Cheers This is exactly how I feel about it all. I’m no expert on the insides of the soundtrack business nor do I have any idea of what’s going going to be released. It just bums me out that so many of these great scores seem to elude new releases. Especially when you think about how they might just be collecting dust in a vault somewhere.
