SEASON 6:
"The Condemned" By: Duane Tatro https://ok.ru/video/2833165191927 Highlights: 0:00 in.^ 24:47 in.^ 29:26 in.^ 36:54 in. 38:31 in. 42:41 in. 45:11/46:38 in.^ Not too much score in the episode. Including the rare appearance of a brass harmonica in an episodic TV series score (cue not cited). "The Traitor" By: Hugo Friedhofer https://ok.ru/video/2833164995319 This is the only effort by Friedhofer for the series. Highlights: 0:00 in.^ 1:55 in.^ 5:18 in.^ 14:13 in.^ 21:55 in.^ 28:36 in. 35:16 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 39:59 in.^ 45:05 in.^ The score is different, but something of a mixed bag. I don't dislike it -- it's interesting to hear, but this one effort didn't leave me wanting to hear more from Hugo on the show. And it doesn't matter since there wasn't more. "The Architect" By: Willard Jones https://ok.ru/video/2833164864247 (looks every so slightly better than below load) Alternative link: https://ok.ru/video/3359736138367 Highlights: 1:12 in.^ 2:43 in. 5:13 in.^ 10:43 in.^ 22:02 in. 25:10 in.^ 31:01 in. 38:15 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 43:02 in.^ 45:44 in.^ Not a bad score, but it's kind of scatter-brained and goes all over the place. (NtM: 26:21) "The Savage Wilderness" (5) By: John Elizalde https://ok.ru/video/2833165912823 Highlights: 0:00 in. Bold and kind of lush music for a lovely rocky beach.^ 2:32 in.^ 5:29 in.^ 6:53 in.^ 8:23 in. 16:05 in.^ 23:48 in.^ 25:31 in.^ 27:41 in. 28:42 in.^ 33:18 in.^ 39:01 in.^ 41:53 in.^ 46:37 in.^ 49:26 in.^ Elizalde seems to focus his scoring more of presenting this as if it was a nature documentary special, with lush music, bold statements, and the kind of scoring you'd expect to depict the picture-esque views. I really don't like this episode. Aside from the fact its painfully slow and gives you no reason for it for like 90% of the episode, it departs from the realistic crimes element that made the show what it was, and focuses on a fake premise and more film-like bad guy.

Joining a cue already in progress. and.^ 27:45 in.^ 43:10 in.^ 45:21 in.^ 49:30 in.^ On a set of season eight scoring, I'd probably only take away two or three cues, like the 45:21 highlight. The score is serviceable enough, but lacks what other composers brought to the show. "End of a Nightmare" By: Duane Tatro https://ok.ru/video/7129241356919 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8euj6u Highlights: 2:21 in.^ 3:26 in.^ 7:44 in.^ 12:50 in.^ 21:08 in.^ 23:03 in.^ 31:03 in. I think this cue was in the first track-job episode of the season.^ 35:00 in. and.^ 37:35 in.^ 42:23 in. Cue is cut off because the scene is cut early (obviously cut down to broadcast).^ 44:09 in.^ Tatro provides a good score, even with touches of echoplex sounds. The score falls more into line with writing and orchestration with Kaper and earlier Markowtiz efforts, while bringing his own touches. Tatro was a perfect choice for this episode. And it proves to be a favorite for track-job episodes, especially certain moody settings. A very young looking Dean Stockwell guest stars. (Note to Me: 28:56) TRACK JOBS. "The Wizard" By: Richard Markowitz https://ok.ru/video/7129242536567 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8euj80 Highlights: 5:17/5:44 in.^ 27:58 in. The jazz/disco source music. And the score cue that immediately follows it at 30:53.^ 32:28 in.^ 37:01 in. Joining a cue already in progress.^ 42:09 in. Over six and-a-half minutes long. And the cue after the commercial break.^ On a set of season eight scoring, I would probably just take the source cue and the final two cues that close out the episode. (NtM: 1:40, 5:17, 19:06, 24:27) "The Loner" (10) By: Duane Tatro https://ok.ru/video/7138016234103 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8euj7o Highlights: 1:50 in. Cue really takes off about 3:30 in.^ 5:46 in. Laid back kind of country sounding cue with harmonica and banjo leading.^ 11:32 in. The country-music bar source cue.^ 13:49 in. 16:55 in.^ 20:42 in.^ 22:00 in. Soft kind of warm romantic material, eventually followed by mystery music for night happenings, then some action material.^ 28:16 in.^ 31:13 in.^ 37:42 in.^ 39:49 in.^ 41:47 in.^ 44:36 in.^ (NtM: 29:30, 36:42) "Canyon of No Return" By: Albert Harris https://ok.ru/video/7138017086071 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8euj8c Highlights: 1:39 in.^ 5:32 in.^ 10:44 in.^ 11:23 in.^ 13:56 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 19:13/25:23 in.^ 29:55 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 36:22 in. 37:39 in.^ 40:50 in.^ 42:37 in. Short dramatic outtro cue, and the cue after the commercial break which goes all the way to the next commercial break, then the following closing cue. Just over seven minutes of scoring, all three total.^ Harris provides a different kind of approach, while at times still sounding like some of the first season work by Kaper. It's a good score and I'm tempted to say it's one of the series' best.

"Holiday With Terror" By: Willard Wood-Jones https://ok.ru/video/7138017282679 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8euj4y This is Jones' third and final effort for the series. Highlights: 1:41 in.^ 3:34 in.^ 6:22 in.^ 11:41 in.^ 13:37 in.^ 18:10 in.^ 26:24 in.^ 28:15 in.^ 30:15 in. This is the nearest to some action the score gets, so I guess if this disappoints you, you probably don't need to hear the rest of the score.^ 35:53 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^ 41:00 in.^ 43:33 in.^ 45:25 in.^ A lot of generally nice stuff, but don't expect big material, bombast, edgy, or the jazz work of Markowitz. Some of the score is more kind of in line with the different approaches Harris was taking, to some degree. Final credited original score of the season. Yes, not very many.

Continuing SEASON 9:
"The Pay-off" By: Duane Tatro https://ok.ru/video/7141050550903 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8ey2gh Highlights: 3:20 in.^ 27:07 in.^ 28:52 in.^ 31:04 in.^ 32:50 in.^ 43:59 in. Some of this was tracked into one or both of the track-job episodes that opened the season.^ There's not much score in the episode, especially considering that Tatro had to do quite a bit of score from previous efforts. For some reason he made the score particularly edgy, hard, biting -- probably to make up for the episode being kind of a boring slog and not so engaging. (NtM: 19:26, 27:03) "The Exchange" (5) By: Albert Harris https://ok.ru/video/7141050813047 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8ey2gu This is Harris' second and final effort for the series. "Fatal Reunion" By: Richard Markowitz https://ok.ru/video/7141051533943 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8ey2gr This is the final effort by Markowitz for the series. Highlights: 4:26 in. Softer more romantic material.^ 26:53 in.^ 34:58 in.^ 36:05 in.^ 47:15 in.^ 49:28 in. 28:24 in: Arrangement of the song "As Time Goes By" (Herman Hupfeld). I don't know if this is a tracked pre-existing piece or done by Markowitz. The song title may not ring any bells for some of you, but the lyrics will: "You must remember this: A kiss is still a kiss."
