Now due Mon. by 18.00 Now it has only recently arrived in Stanstead. They must have took it for a ride. Even though, earlier, it said it was in Manchester. Haven't had this with dhl.

You often read how James Horner arrived on the film music scene pretty much fully formed, with most of his stylings and trademarks already in place. Listening to this early orchestral Michael Kamen score, the same could be said for him. It contains virtually all of the trappings that would go on to serve Kamen well in the coming years and decades. Every track is unmistakable Kamen, featuring his icy high strings, vivid percussion, pauses and spacings in the suspense writing and pounding orchestral stabs that intensify the action and drama ten fold. The sound on this 40 year old recording is astonishing, putting to shame virtually anything recorded during this century. If you're a Michael Kamen fan you must own this CD. If you want more premiere CD releases of decades old scores, you should buy this CD and support the cause. Fantastic work from everyone involved. 100% agree with everything you said. This is top drawer Kamen, excellently performed and recorded. Nothing here sounds "early" it's a terrifically composed, performed and recorded film score, as good as anything Kamen did later for biggest movies. In more than one way VENOM feels like a companion score for THE DEAD ZONE. While I haven't seen the movie, I've actually read Alan Scholefield's novel many years ago when I was 14.
