An expanded FIRESTARTER by Tangerine Dream would be a - well - dream!

Is there a film called Ring of Fire. Coz their clues are usually all my arse.

Yep, it's a somewhat forgotten McGonahey (sic) post apocalyptic dragon flick from 2000-ish, with an admittedly good Ed Shearmur score.

Good film, good score, longshot.

That's Reign of Fire

Haha, I blame Prince for starting that! Jeez, I even own the bloody album of REIGN.

Knock yourselves out.

Thanks to the stolen image griping, they've been reduced to emojis....

1st is some war related thing - McNeely's SOLDIER would be nice, slim chance though
2nd is Powell's Dragon

The clues are up on X. They’re emoji’s . One we know the other ends with a medal and army helmet. I’m sure someone here can figure it out.

I'm quite sure the second clue is "How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World".

Not sure about the first one, though.

The second one is obviously Dragon.

The first is goblin, child, medal, helmet.

Could it be a rerelease of Aliens with improved sonics?

Yes Golden Army seems a great guess but imo the ost was already generous and nothing amazing was missing :/ But happy for Elfman fans anyway! Still hoping for Scorpion King one day smile

The complete score clocks in at approx 86' versus the 59' of the original release, and there is some quite interesting stuff there, including the triumph motiff. Who knows how much material is also included in alt. takes or unused tracks...?

Beltrami's Hellboy seems to have done well for Varese in various formats (their Deluxe Edition of it years ago was superb) so I'm not terribly surprised they eventually decided to follow it up with an expansion of Elfman's sequel score.

Not a bad Elfman score (and maybe there's really good stuff among the previously unreleased music as there was for Beltrami) but I still really wish Beltrami had been brought back for the sequel as Hellboy is one of his top 3 scores. A rare bad call from Guillermo del Toro, IMO.

Darn, that "fiery" initial word clue really had me expecting Reign of Fire or Firefly expansions. But Hellboy totally fits that too, obviously.

The emoji clue approach seems to be working out well for Varese, with fewer complaints from people compared with their use of stock photos.

Maybe Beltrami was contractually obligated on another film. Just a guess. Assuming he was even asked.

He wasn't asked. Del Toro was talking to Universal during prep for Hellboy II and said to someone that Danny Elfman would be great for this movie. Whoever he was talking to knew Elfman well and asked him.

I love the score on album, but its mix in the film is hideous. Layers and layers of activity are inaudible and the music is often dialled down when there's no dialogue or sound effects to compete with.

I'd love Christopher Gunning's FIRELIGHT.

I know it won't he that though.

It's probably Silvestri's Volcano.

Why would they re-release VOLCANO? - it has already had one expanded release
