I ordered this set because I like Lalo Schifrin and was expecting to enjoy most of the scores, but even I was a bit surprised when I sat down and ended up listening to almost the entire box set. All of these scores are prime Schifrin.

For those who use artwork for loading onto iTunes etc, has anyone made any custom artwork for each invididual release? That is cover art for each film like the smaller images that are used on the cover of the box set? Our best hope would be to somehow convince Lukas to have his artwork guy enlarge these and maybe post them alongside his online notes? Best wishes to us both! The artwork guy is working on that. Stay tuned. Joe

Thanks MD for the A Woman Named Jackie theme clip. I'm not familiar with it, but it sounds nice. I have been listening to the Schifrin box, about 4 times since I received it, and it is very cool. I was most familiar with the Cincinnati Kid, having listened to the Aleph CD for the last few years. The vocal by by Ray Charles is great. The other main scores in the box ((Rhino, Once a Thief, The Venetian Affair & Sol Madrid) were all new to me, and have been a joy discovering. Schifrin is, in my opinion, unique amongst film composers and if you like his 60's, jazz tinged movie & TV scores (Bullitt, Cool Hand Luke, Mannix, etc.) I,m sure you'll enjoy this Cincinnati Kid Box set.
