Hmm...
from Jerry Goldsmith it could be DENNIS THE MENACE or FOREVER YOUNG expanded - both were from Big Screen Records.
Michael Kamen - I can only think in HIGHLANDER wink
and John Williams it's more likely to be FAMILY PLOT than HOOK, altough the last one is my holy grail smile

Just noticed on the thread for Fringe
http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=66881&forumID=1&archive=0

That La-La Land's Avatar is a monkey Wonder Woman (complete w/ lipstick, tiara, and silver bracelets). My guess of a March release date was too early, but apparently it is coming soon!

And comic book release #2 and #3 are Wonder Woman and 1966's Batman movie. Only 2 more comic book releases in 8 months!

I just caught Hook on TV - man that score needs a complete release. It just jumped to the top of my grail list! I hope and pray it's LLL Williams release.

Just wondering - how come so many people think LLL will release an expanded Hook? Was there any hinting about it before I came to the board? Or is it mainly gut feelings?

It's a gut feeling with no concrete evidence.

Part of the speculation is based on the deal LaLaLand mentioned the had with Sony last year.

Yes, someone seemed certain about it, but I remain cautiously optimistic. I mean if we're running with Hook as the Williams LLL release, then why aren't we similarly running with Star Trek V being the Goldsmith; that is Sony as well, I believe.

Well they are doing W.G. Snuffy Walden's music for FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS due on June 15th.

4/20, 5/4, 7/20 and 11/30

No-one asked, but here's my predictions:

20 April: Independence Day (David Arnold)
4 May: Star Trek V OR Gremlins (Jerry Goldsmith)
20 July: X-Files box OR Michael Kamen title
30 November: Hook (John Williams)

Something i Noticed from the interview

La-La Land Records succeeded to release Innerspace, one of the most requested Jerry Goldsmith scores. How did you manage to negotiate with Geffen Records?

It was not Geffen’s call. The score rights had reverted back to Warner and we got them that way.

I think that the Kamen release might be Robin Hood - it is part of the WEA (i'm not sure) and could get released though their EXPANDED ARCHIVAL EDITION catalogue

I'd definitely pick up Robin Hood, it's one I've held off getting in the hope of an expanded release showing up.

Me too - with the original CD running 60 minutes i think this will be a 2cd-set

I had the same thoughts on First Knight, but I picked that up last year as it was cheap. So, if an expanded edition of that shows up I may have to double-dip.

And they are releasing Caddyshack to general retail that day as well.

Guess they've had a hard time pushing copies

FNL should not be there. That's a mistake.

A near-80 minutes cd would be welcome too.

Here are 2 quotes from MV:

"I already know that this year our planned major MAJOR release dates are 3/23, 4/20, 5/4, 7/20 and 11/30. And we are going to try to stick to those dates as best as we can. But in the interim we will have several other great releases coming out as well."

"MV : a lot of of great scores will be released this year, from Jerry Goldsmith, Michael Kamen, Danny Elfman, Les Baxter and John Williams and other marvelous composers."

I also believe MV mention 5 comic-book soundtrack releases. #1 would be the Flash, and #2 should be Wonder Woman. But the other 3?? No idea yet.

3/23 was Eraser and Dragonslayer (both of those were MAJOR). I think from what he said earlier that 5/4 is ID4. and for the X-Files summer release date, that is probably 7/20.
I cannot wait to see (or hear, I guess) the new Goldsmith he mentioned!

UPDATE:
OK, 5/4 is no longer a major release date. We know what the John Williams is now (Yeah!), and X-Files has been pushed back to late Fall or Winter.

Comic Book Releases:
#1 The Flash
#2 Wonder Woman
#3 Batman: The Movie
#4 ?
#5 ???

The May 4 release date is a no go. June 15 has those two releases scheduled now.

We have two smaller releases coming May 11.

So the rest of the big stuff is now scheduled for 6/15, 7/20 and 11/30 (and I'm sure this can change).

As for the comic book scores, I have no idea. I'm still hoping the Elfman title is in fact 1989's Batman but I doubt it.

Yeah, Batman would be awesome. I am wondering if another title is an animated series, or the DC animated summer-release film of Batman: Under the Red Hood. I think B:URH may go to the CD-R company that Amazon is part of (yuck!).

Just thinking, would the Elfman release count as The Flash since he did the main title? I don't think so, but they do give him credit for it.
