THANK YOU INTRADA! - John Barry, yes John Barry WOW!

Finally!!! Rumoured for a long time, clearly anticipated over the last week, and now it's there! One of my last personal holy grails, one of Barry's all-time best scores - and just listening to my favourite yet unreleased track "Voo Doo" gives me shivers, remembering seeing THE DEEP for the first time, back in the early eighties on TV. A bit sad though about the "mono" issue, but if this is all there is, it's absolutely fantastic to finally get this marvellous score in its entirety! Thanks so much, Intrada for this hard and time consuming labour of love!

Why were some of Intrada's 2-Disc sets -- which feature the LP presentation as a secondary disc -- priced at only $19.99 or even $24.99? Why is THE DEEP priced at a steep $29.99? Just curious.

As Steve McGarrett on 'Hawaii Five-O" said many times, "Suppose, just suppose" that the complete sessions in stereo to "The Deep" were found at some point in the future. Even though it is doubtful that they still exist, strange occurrances in the soundtrack world do and have happened. Who would have thought that the film tracks to "How To Murder Your Wife" would ever have been discovered, and yet, there they were, in a mislabeled container which was accidentally stumbled upon (and thankfully so). Better yet, who could imagine that the complete session masters in stereo could be located for "One Eyed Jacks". There have been cases where scores for certain movies were long thought to be lost, only to surface years later because they were incorrectly filed, mislabeled, or misplaced. Who's to say that the stereo session masters for "The Deep" aren't located in some can labeled "The Spy Who Loved Me". I wonder how many people who have waited years for "The Deep" to finally surface on cd would double dip if it were to become available in stereo, months, or years later? Just wondering.

Thanks so much, Intrada for this hard and time consuming labour of love! Yes. That's me with "All Yours." ALWAYS LOVED the lush almost lullaby albeit a sad one, that is shared when Treece and Gail converse about the treasure manifests. What's TERRIFIC is that it's the LONGER version as heard in the TV cut. In the film, it runs about 1:54 give or take a second, whereas on CD it seems to run about 2:44, following the rest of the cue when Gail asks Treece about his marriage and why he doesn't like women in his house. This latter was of course deleted but shown on TV, and as I thought they just looped the song for this scene, alas! It was a full cue, and LO! Here (Hear) it is! TP

When I go to click on a sample track I get this: Reported Attack Page! This web page at www.intrada.net has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences. Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system. Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners. I get this too. And me also. Intrada needs to take a look at its webpage settings. In my antivirus program, I can't override the blocking of the tracks without actually pasting the URLs of the samples into a list of webpages that I am specifically approving despite the warning against doing so, then shutting down the computer and re-starting. This full sequence for each individual sample. Screw that! I have no such problem on any other company's samples, so Intrada loses a potential customer. I'll save my money for something else. I'm sure this will sell out anyway, so I doubt they care. The one track I was able to listen to without my computer exploding was the Theme on Disc 2, and the sound was terrible. By the way, this is the first time this warning page has come up. My settings haven't changed since my last visit either. On another note is this sold out yet?! Feels like a 24 hour based on the excitement on this board.
