Received it earlier today (2 days from CA to NC - not too bad lol!). All I can say is...thank you MV, Mark Snow and all involved in this wonderful release. The track I really wanted was included - "On the Waterfront/Suspended Max" from 'Fallen Angel'. Socom 4 sounds interesting, but not an essential must buy for me at this point in time. I suppose I will check out the sound samples again tomorrow. They didn't leave much of an impression on me the first time, maybe they will the second time. Ordered at about 4:03, click, click to PayPal, pretty painless. But hey, it is all part of the mania. Now, am hoping the set gets here Thursday or Friday. Guess I'm postponing our beach trip to Monday so I can have the weekend with My Precious Mine was in the mailbox waiting when we got home about 30 minutes ago. My order was 36282 but the autographed inlay card wasn't included . in the madness of packing and shipping it was likely overlooked, ah well ! But the set itself...wow. Gorgeous. really. A thing of beauty. The box slipcover, the clamshell art, the discs, the booklet... just lovely. Kudos to the LaLa crew on this one. In my set, they're very secure. I have other clamshell boxes, even 2 CD trays that don't hold the CD's. These are seated tight. And the music...ahhhh I cheated and started on CD 4. Scully's Serenade, lovely. I had to hear that one first. Now the Lone Gunmen Requiem.... Snow really excelled in the melodic emotional scoring of the series. Discussion always gets down to a trickle once people actually get their CDs... I had to head to work soon after (and wasn't able to listen right away ), but the box is beautiful. I'm not even an X Files fan, but I heard a lot of the samples in videos people posted and I was a fan of Mark Snow's work, so I bought it. The artwork is incredible, the booklet very detailed (and it seems a bit sturdier than a normal insert), and overall a great labor of love.
