With rumors circulating about a release of this score by LLL, I thought it might be useful to bump this up. I'd be all over, even a blind buy.

I only have the Silva release, but I love this score. Surprised at the negative reactions to it here.

I only have the Silva release, but I love this score. Surprised at the negative reactions to it here. Me too. I think part of it is the people who feel like more focus should be put on scores that are unreleased. But there is a lot of presentation that can be much improved on with Supergirl. And honestly, who cares about the film. We are talking the music. Jerry composed for a lot of terrible films. Still made good or great music for them. You're right. Interestingly, Boys From Brazil was one of JG's most concert-music-level of scores, yet the movie was unintentionally campy with a beyond miscast Peck and shamelessly overacting Olivier. I still happen to like the movie, and file it with Final Conflict as heavily dependent on the score to help us forgive how ludicrous the stories really were. For the record, LOVE the Ira Levin BFB book (it was waaay more forgivable and believable on paper imo)...same with the FC novelization.

Has there been any further talk about a re-release from LLL or any other label? We've tried for years as I'm sure others have. Complete session masters exist, but rights are messed up. I'm sure you've heard that before!

"rights are messed up" = Silva still holds the rights (at least for the previously-unreleased music) in perpetuity? I believe MV said something to that effect years back...and Legend is presumably in a similar boat. Yavar
