Sure is a wee bit of money...even though im grateful for sets like this. Kinda makes me feel bad about Journey To The Center of the Earth...sucks not having a complete edition.

A release like this makes me wonder about other Fox stuff thought to be missing (or in to bad a state to be released). It will be interesting to see what next year brings.

There's stuff here that's never seen the light of day and other stuff that could use a good, modern remastering. I hope this lasts at least until Thursday. But I want it. B A D L Y .

I wonder ... You don't think some of the improved scores are going to get an individual CD release down the line, do you? Like happened with the Karate Kid box? Cheers

I'll definitely be ordering this - but after Christmas. Unless it hits low quantity before then, then I may have to prioritize it!

Cheers I don't know how these things work, but I assume Varese have licensed out 1000 copies of each title & once sold the titles could be up for re-license, if Fox were up for it. I'd think they'd wait a while before licensing them out again.

This kind of release only seems to come along once in a blue moon nowadays. And, unfortunately, it appears I have to grab it while it's available. Otherwise, these things tend to disappear as quickly as they surfaced. So, I'm grabbing the brass ring once again. But, Oh, what a brass ring it is! I could practically get rid of all the other recordings I have of these scores, and just keep this! I'm amazed they decided to do it, given the market for Golden Age scores lately. Still and all, I have to hand it to Varese, Redman, Kirgo, and company: it's a marvelous capper to a history of Herrmann releases. (This is the kind of thing that should be celebrated in Classical circles, too, since they are finally beginning to accept Herrmann's genius...) Ordered!
