On the topic of The New Blood, does anybody know the correct identity of the Mollin tracks that were released on the Part 7/8 CD? I went through it myself with the film, but some stuff (like "Pearls Go Flying") does not match what is heard in the film, and other things I couldn't seem to identify anywhere. Was just curious if anybody had a breakdown of exactly what's contained in each track.
Track 1: Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood Main Title This is actually the full end credits
Track 2: Prologue/Main Title/Hockey Mask Like it sounds (although in the film the order is Prologue/Hockey Mask/Main Title)
Track 3: Dad's Death/The Pier/Matchbook/Tina Summons/Dan's Death Dad's Death - The flashback of Tina as a child/dad dying The Pier - Brief cue as Tina sees the pier upon her arrival Matchbook - Dr. Crews works with Tina to move the matchbook Tina Summons - Tina raises Jason Dan's Death - short sting when Dan is killed
Track 4: Nick & Tina/Pearls Go Flying Nick & Tina - Nick & Tina get to know each other by the lake Pearls Go Flying - As far as I can tell, this is not used (its certainly not heard in the scene where Tina breaks Melissa'a pearls). Perhaps it was meant for that scene. I asked Mr. Mollin in an e-mail, but he didn't remember.
Track 5: Flying TV/Russell's Head/Sandra Pulled Down/Mom In The Study Flying TV - Tina yells at Dr. Crews, makes TV fly Russell's Head - short sting when Russell is killed Sandra Pulled Down - short sting when Sandra is killed Mom In The Study - Tina's mom searches study/Dr. Crews finds Mike's body/Tina's mom scene continued
Track 6: Hearing Crashes/Kate's Murder/Nick & Tina Find Mike Hearing Crashes - Tina takes the car, crashes Kate's Murder - Kate killed Nick & Tina Find Mike - Nick & Tina Find Mike
Track 7: More Nick & Tina/Robin's Death More Nick & Tina - Nick & Tina in study Robin's Death - Robin killed
Track 8: Friday The 13th Part VII End Credits Just a shortened version of track 1
Note: From Tina finding the bodies to the end, none of the Mollin tracks are on the soundtrack.
Those vocal elements weren't included in the BSX release.
Some of the Mollin tracks in the film are mixed with Mandredini stuff (as you can see we are tying to identify those). The soundtrack doesn't feature any of the layered-on Manfredini stuff (including the Ki-Ki-Kis). My assumption is that those Ki-Kis were all lifted from older Manfredini stuff. Identifying those specific elements however may be near impossible.
- Campers are killed (sleeping bag death) Part of Megan Balances Business And Pleasure [Part 6] You Drive, Hot Lips [Part 6] 3:47-4:04, 4:04-4:06, 4:10-4:15 Cort And Nikki Check Wire first part overlayed four times short sting, Dan's Death (Mollin)
Plus reedited I Wanna Hold Your Head with unreleased Mollin pulses overlayed
- Tina tells her mom she misses her dad, then raises Jason Part of The Survivalists [Part 6] 0:54-1:01 of The Caretaker [Part 6] fade in and then fade out Tina Summons (Mollin) 2:39-2:45 of Paula Feels The Tension [Part 6]
Tina Summons is overlayed with sections of Coffins And Maggots And Worms, Oh My! [Part 6] & Real TV Nightmare [Part 6]
And then after a brief unreleased Mollin ending, there is part of You Drive, Hot Lips [Part 6] as Tina's mom finds her on the pier.
Hey Ross1972 did you ever figure this one out? Didn't see in the thread if you did or not. Could it be when Jason splits Melissa's head with an ax and throws her across the room? In a sense, the pearls would go flying...but then again, her pearls were already broken by that point and she wouldn't be wearing them unless she restringed them...

Anyway did you ever figure that one out?
I'm pretty convinced its not heard- and that maybe it was meant for the pearl-breaking scene. I had the same idea as you about the ax scene, but its a different (unreleased) Mollin track.
