Any other TV series this was tracked on, anybody who recognizes the episodes of series, please do post them at your leisure. Eventually when I have another flash drive, I'll handle this series and want to come up with the cleanest possible cues.

    Stoney Burke
[Daystar Productions/United Artists/MGM, 1962-1963, 32 fifty minutes episodes, black and white]

Created by writer-producer-director Leslie Stevens and starring Jack Lord ("Hawaii 5-0"), Warren Oates ("Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia"), Bruce Dern ("Silent Running") and Robert Dowdell ("Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea").

The scores by Dominic Frontiere are marvelous and deserve a release by La-La Land Records. Some of the scores are tracked on the season 1 of "The Outer Limits" and even on the season 4 of "The Fugitive" and on the season 1 of "The Rat Patrol". Frontiere not only composes but produces some episodes from the series.

Please watch these episodes and listen to the music:
    "The Contender"
    "Point of Honor"
    "The Wanderer"
    "Point of Entry"
    "To Catch The Kaiser"
    "The Weapons Man"
    "The Journey"

Bruce Dern is in the clip also

Here's the official trailer for Stoney Burke and you'be better believe it.
Many of Stoney Burke episodes even include the half-break bumpers and at the end, the trailers for next week's episode. The print look good enough.

Is there a reason Roy bumped up the topic by quoting the first post, and didn't add a comment? There's no news of a music release.

Read the comments about the DVD of Stoney Burke at Amazon

    http://www.amazon.com/Stoney-Burke-Complete-Jack-Lord/dp/B00AX5B0RY/ref=sr_1_2?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1358735834&sr=1-2&keywords=stoney+burke
Apparently, Leslie Stevens couldn't get Clem Portman to engineer the music/dialog mix when he produced the first season Outer Limits. Whoever it was hit both season 1 and 2 audio with a lot more noticeable compression. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clem_Portman

That Stoney Burke Soundtrack 3 CD set is way overdue. I got my episode/scene/playlist Excel file. But I still can't interest Intrada or La La Land to produce it, even though Sony's APM or EMI production music catalogs probably have those suites and cues. Otherwise, maybe Frontiere's archives at Univ. Wyoming.

Yes, and what a fantastic set that will make one eventual theoretical day.

Otherwise, maybe Frontiere's archives at Univ. Wyoming.

It has music sheets and related material, but no audio recordings. You can see his archive contents on their website.

Just the other day I was recalling the time a fire engine showed up at the little old lady's house a couple doors up. Did some checking and found online a local newspaper article from April, 1962. Damn, I wasn't quite six years old. And speaking of around that time, I can recall several times I'd see Stoney Burke in TV Guide and wonder if he was related to the guy my Dad was talking about (they had close to the same name). The name even showed up in clues to the crossword puzzle. Great learning tool, that puzzle. For what, trivia contests? Anyway, never did watch an episode. Sixty years later I think it's time. Why not.

This message brought to you by a TV coming-of-ager in the 1960s.

One of the early commercials in memory had a young guy hawking Salem cigarettes. Many moons later I would recognize him as BJ on M*A*S*H. Them cig commercials were everywhere and rather entertaining in their toxic way.
