As LRonHubbard pointed out, Creature Features hasn't failed to deliver on several past Kickstarters for high end books including the Night Gallery one. (I didn't participate in any of those myself, but I've seen good feedback about the final product elsewhere.) So for now I'm going to try to be optimistic that Taylor will overcome whatever obstacles have arisen with the project since September of last year.

I've known Taylor (slightly) for decades, and participated in the Kickstarter campaigns he ran for the two NIGHT GALLERY books. I understand people's frustrations, but I have confidence in him and am not worried at all.

I'm still in good spirit and have hopes for this campaign to do likewise. But that doesn't mean inquiries about the use of the money aren't warranted at this stage.

Quoting Nicolai because that’s exactly where I am at.

Far from me the intention of adding oil on fire but, in comparison, the similar French crowdfunded book was started later, got double the required amount and is already in the hands of most of its backers. In full color and with tones of extras...

I don't mind the delays as long as I'm kept informed. But being told that the book can't be printed in color really rises suspicion. Someone(s) must have really messed up.

Wowwww!! That’s spectacular. I hope they do an English translation. The extra rewards are Phenomenal!

It was stated from the very start that the book wouldn't be printed in colour. Though with the extra $$$ raised during the campaign, one does wonder if funds could have been stretched to cover colour printing.

My bad. I completely missed that information.

But yeah. seeing all the extra money the campaign received, one would expect a more prestigious presentation (Color printing, Embossed gold leave title instead of printed golden effect on the cover, or a mix of mat and glossy varnish, etc...) maybe it's happening? Nothing has been said about the final version of the cover by the way.

That's exactly it. It was not offered as a color book, but it should be no problem now to issue one.

Unless the larger portion of the funding goes elsewhere. But where?

(And yeah, nothing wrong with making a profit of a Kickstarter campaign... but there's still plenty of profit even when they issue a nice hardcover color book.)

Oh my God! That book looks fantastic! Does anybody know if it is still available and where can be purchased (if possible)? Thank you.

No french to english translation is any considered for the moment and I doubt there will ever be one.

Well, the JG Death Anniversary came and went and I was wrong about any kind of intel from the publishers.

Yes, I find it depressing there wasn’t some kind of acknowledgment of the date and some remembrance.

The remembrance has been expressed everywhere on facebook on July 21st. A lot of people, fans but also professionals, are posting there...and not here (or at least not here under their real name I don't know).

This is not so for me I’m afraid.

I ordered several copies of this French book for friends on this board. But not even a shipping notice yet. Not a single update or word about those launch events that happened a month ago either. Very disappointing.

Yes I have asked them and they tell me they were having problems with the French post.

Has anyone outside France got copies yet?
Thanks

I live in Belgium. I received a email confirming the Visual Filmography was dispatched this Monday, so far it hasn't arrived yet. I'll post here when it does smile

I also just received a notification with a tracking number for the French Book.

It should be delivered in the coming days.
