I also just received a notification with a tracking number for the French Book.

It should be delivered in the coming days.

Well at least they have their shit together.

Guys can we keep this post focused on the US Goldsmith companions only -This is only creating more frustration and confusion. Lets stick to the original thread. If there is another thread on the French book here, I suggest you use that thread. Please!

I think it's appropriate, in a thread about a pending two-volume Jerry Goldsmith set, to write about another set that has actually landed and compare at will.

I won't be one of those, not speaking French and not wanting to purchase such a thing for the graphics, but others clearly wish to.

Especially as it is a comparable project, started later, took in way less, and is already delivered. It speaks volumes (whoops... excuse the, er, pun).

I ordered mine in 2006, I think. At least they've been sending updates in the last year - there were years when there was absolute silence.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. You simply don't treat people that way when you take their valuable money. No more excuses please. Provide definitive dates for delivery or send a refund. Many state Attorney General Offices would investigate this as a scam if they were asked to do so.

That's like Star Trek: Axanar
https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/cbs-paramount-sues-to-stop-axanar.278077/

The loser who refused to listen to CBS, got sued, continued anyway, strung along supporters for years and years, even selling coffee (profiting off a fan film not even made, in direct violation of CBS), only to finally a decade plus later finally announce that principle photography had finished.

Reminds me of the film Tommy Boy:

Richard To Tommy after announcing he has finished college after going there almost a decade, "And in just a shade under a decade," then with heavy sarcasm, "All right..."

I am sorry to say but the lack of communication has no sense at all. I am so disappointed at this point.

As an English language speaker, I think for me the ideal book would be somewhere between the two, with Jeff Bond’s writing and beautiful color graphics of the French book. The ideal book would also be somewhere between my fingers as I read it.

You are right in a way, this is JERRY GOLDSMITH COMPANION book thread.

However, maybe we wouldn't chat that much about the french JERRY GOLDSMITH book actually released on June 23 if this very thread was feeded with serious update and communication if any from the publishers.

Thus it wouldn't suffer that much the comparison with the french crowdfunding project totally succesfully achieved end to end, except a few overseas shippping delays.

Each additional day of no communication is a day too much now.
What the hell is the problem eventually? If there is a place and schedule to communicate, this is it.

All I was saying that this thread should be about the 2 Volumes. Its not fair to mix the two different books here. Each deserves its own discussion good or bad or what ever.

But I'm glad somebody made that new thread so the due credit gets to be seen where due.
