Also another update expected shortly as the first set of proofs arrive very soon. So I guess we are moving forwards now. Good!

Also another update expected shortly as the first set of proofs arrive very soon.

Given they're "proofs", I wonder if we're still be asked/encouraged to submit corrections as was originally requested for the first digital file releases to a Creature Features E-mail address. (My changes were ignored.) Hopefully! Maybe they can throw up a web-based form or a better way to submit corrections that we can be sure they're looking at and is more organized.

I newly noticed an issue in that the rear ISBN and barcodes for volume 1 and volume 2 are identical. ISBN databases can only list one title per ISBN, so for that number I'm seeing already (ISBNdb.com, Google Books entry) it's "Volume 1". Not sure if that was just a copy+paste issue as the books ARE two different physical objects and may become separated especially in the after-sale/secondhand market?

Ugh, I keep trying to download these Final pdf copies and it keeps giving me some sort of security error... even copying to my Dropbox isn't working. Man, I'm just so weary of dealing with pdf downloads of these books and just simply want to handle the physical hardcopy editions.

I had the same problems, too. Ended up having to use Jdownloader to get them to actually download.

(Great name, Mr Servo!)

I just got a shipping notice from Creature Features. It might just be the reward item that was part of my tier. But something's going on.

I too got a shipping notice tonight from Creature Features. I’m assuming it’s my Goldsmith at Fox CDs reward package, as I live in Canada and, according to the July 16 project update, “international donors will receive their books directly from Amazon in their individual countries.” After that, bring on the book(s)!

Same thing for me for what DavidCorkum and guyatkings reported.

I can report that I've received my reward item, which was one of the things people were worried about earlier. One down, one to go.

And, we are coming up on the 2-1/2 year mark. Any new updates?

The books were due out last Fall at the earliest. So we are coming up to 1 year after the expected release date. Believe me, I'm itching to get my hands on the hard cover editions which I ordered. But let's not distort facts to make a point of how bad the publisher is...

Especially since we don't need to distort facts.

Even if we get our copy in the coming months, this campaign has been a real let down (i'm not talking about Jeff Bond's book if it needed to be said).
This is really bad management and it's hard to not become suspicious at the view of the big numbers it got money wise, and what we're expecting to get.

The question that's burning my tongue, and others' I'm sure, is "Where the f... did all this money go?"

Guys can we keep this post focused on the US Goldsmith companions only -This is only creating more frustration and confusion. Lets stick to the original thread. If there is another thread on the French book here, I suggest you use that thread. Please!

You are right in a way, this is JERRY GOLDSMITH COMPANION book thread.

However, maybe we wouldn't chat that much about the french JERRY GOLDSMITH book actually released on June 23 if this very thread was feeded with serious update and communication if any from the publishers.

Thus it wouldn't suffer that much the comparison with the french crowdfunding project totally succesfully achieved end to end, except a few overseas shippping delays.

Each additional day of no communication is a day too much now.
What the hell is the problem eventually? If there is a place and schedule to communicate, this is it.

"What we have here is a failure to communicate." Strother Martin in "Cool hand Luke".

As Summer turns to Autumn, surely we could have an update giving at least a possible shipping date?
