You will always get a ton more comments on the delivery and condition of the CD than the actual music itself. It's just the way things are around here.
It's ridiculous. And yet I keep opening the thread. My bad.
I've watched the film several times the last few days, I picked up an unmentionable Blu-ray, and I love it. I seriously don't have any problems with the film.

I check in to see if anyone else had a lunch meeting with a secret Disney connection and is dishing the latest John Williams dirt!
I'm not clear why people continue to mock that post from drivingmissdaisy a while back.
People in the film industry hear things all the time that they're not supposed to repeat verbatim, but that they can safely paraphrase. Similarly, they can't give the exact name and job title of the person who told them this, because that would cause problems and might even destroy a relationship or get someone fired. I see it every day. The only alternative is saying absolutely nothing.
I'm grateful for that post, and the information in it makes sense, and matches what logic tells us - that John Williams has a standing contractual demand for a CD release of his scores, in an era when most scores are digital-only.

Well, on this board with almost no moderation I think it is way better that people do NOT start discussing the music itself.

No offense but what exactly has Thor brought to the conversation? "I clicked on the link, I bumped this thread, I regretted it."
I'd rather hear the happy news people are getting their CD's.
