Wow I haven't been here in forever. Nothing has changed lol. I have been purchasing vinyl almost exclusively for a few years now. Williams' Violin Concerto no.2, vinyl and blu ray. Williams in Vienna, vinyl and blu ray. Williams Rise of Skywalker, vinyl only (horrid pressing too, it's down to what company disney chooses.) Williams The Fabelmans, vinyl only. Williams A Gathering of Friends, vinyl sounds better than the filtered and compressed CD. Williams Varese reissue of the Empire Srikes Back Gerhardt album, vinyl only, sounds better than the CD. Soundstream digital recordings were very good. Goldsmith reissue of The Burbs, vinyl only. I never stopped using LP's or collecting them even in the 90s. They sound better than the hard edged CD masterings. SACD was better than CD. SACD and vinyl matter more to me than CD. I never stream. Don't care about downloads except to preview. I rip vinyl to digital. As the other formats die, vinyl remains, and old discs can sound as good as ever. Streaming can be yanked away from you without notice. Catalogs get deleted. Simplest analog phys. storage media keep going. Transferring to digital high res files (96/24 easy) with software can eliminate pops and clicks. Not nostalgia. Indiana Jones and the Dialup of Disney is a terrible movie without soul or purpose, just a wrecking ball to Lucas' foundations and deserves the failure it set out to bring upon itself. The score had no chance artistically since there was nothing to inspire. It’s close to the bone. Perhaps its due to his age, perhaps its the execs and disney wanting it expressively “dialed down” so it won’t be too big and emotional for today’s tiktokers. This style of music, big orchestral is really too much high voltage juice for 2023. They will think classical film scoring is overblown. So it’s restrained but at least it’s JW one last time. Lots of incidental Tintin-like underlining. Fleabag’s theme is as everpresent if not more so than Indy’s classic theme. That should tell you everything. And I don't think fleabag's theme is especially interesting. Nevertheless I ordered the lp, with zero thought about formats since I get vinyl all the time anyway, and I laughed when I saw that too is delayed. But going from the digital version on apple, eh, it's not a very great album release to begin with. Yet another shortened, abridged rush production without the best cues, but of course. As much as JW is a part of my life, it's not a great work and it's for a terrible movie. Also I have no stake in the disney/consumers/reuse fees/apologia going on. I really don't care. Everything goes away, streaming and digital can be deleted from existence anytime without notice, so hardcopies are essential. Everything is about control. And Eff disney. lol.

Welcome back Michaelware!I do disagree with you on the INDY 5 film and score, I love both. However I'm probably the only one here who does.

I ordered on 8/24, as did a friend of mine at work. Neither of us has received shipping emails yet, or the disc. I'm sure it'll ship soon.
