MV, are you happy with the selling of the STAR TREK:TMP vinyl edition?

Is Intrada planing to do also a 2xLP release of STAR TREK III & IV?

Personaly I would LOVE to have a LP-Set with music of TOS (wich was NOT released by Crescendo before).

But this will stay a dream I assume ;-)?!

I'd personally love to see an expanded Trek III come to LP, but FSM/Retrograde put out the CD, not Intrada. So maybe Mondo will do it given that they did the Trek 2 double LP . However, that it hasn't yet sold old, it's likely a gamble with the follow up. fingers crossed.

Also, you won't find anyone from LLL publicly stating if another label is doing something anyway. :-)

MV, you have mentioned in All News LLL thread that there is a backlog of titles. Of interest was reference to some classics, is 'The Diary of Anne Frank' still on the cards? Sorry if this has already been answered.

I too saw that mentioned on the All News LLL thread. On this thread MV has mentioned he had several Golden Age titles in the works. Hopefully MV can give us some encouraging news.

I can say this - I have personally seen the drive all the transferred material resides on.

Thank you MV, this is really good news.

I am happy to leave Golden Age titles releases in the capable hands of the labels, after all they have to make a financial judgment whether a title will be a commercial success for them, especially in these times.

Like many others here I am now more concerned in the longevity of the labels rather than wishing for titles which I would love, to the detriment of the label!

Hello MV,

can you tell us if the Buffy Box-Set will contain all / some of the Bonus-Tracks that were exclusive to Amazon, iTunes, ... on the original score-release? [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffy_the_Vampire_Slayer:_The_Score]

(I'm especially keeping my fingers crossed for the wonderful "Exposition Song")

In fact i think they should release the full scores to "Restless" and obviously "Hush", both are Beck at his finest! An approach like The X-Files Volume 3 would be great... But at the same time there would be stuff missing for sure... Hard to tell what would be the best to do here.

Anyway i am so excited about this release... I can't wait the day they will make the annoucement to see the tracklist smile

Good comment. Totally agree.
And will the Collection only feature Beck's material (I certainly hope so) or will it also have music from Thomas Wanker and all the other composers who came before or after Beck's contributions?

And what about the first episodes of season 1 of Angel which where scores by Christophe Beck. Will they be featured also or will that be saved for a seperate Angel Collection? (One can only dream of that smile )

I loved the music on ANGEL, particularly the establishing shot of Los Angeles music used to open and transition scenes throughout seasons one and two, that cool and slightly badass heroic two-note theme that in its own right could have served as the precursor to Zimmer's Batman Begins music.

For my part, I really want to hear the Buffy/Angel love theme that Beck reworked at the end of "I Will Remeber You" of Angel Season 1 or the more subtle variation and the end of "Faith, Hope & Trick" from season 3 of Buffy.

MV, is there any chance LLL would release the Paramount Ghost in the Shell 2017 score?

The Internet rumour mill on this one was that it was supposed to come out via Lakeshore, and was cancelled. I know that you guys have been doing a lot of Paramount stuff. Thanks for your time.

Why on earth would you hope that the collection only features Beck's material? There was a lot of other great music in the show. The highlight of Thomas Wanker's work IMO was the cue he wrote for when Riley leaves. Didn't care much for the Buffy/Riley relationship but their theme was great and that cue in particular was a really powerful culmination of that material:

There was also a TON of great music written by different composers in season 7...particularly two different composers' takes on the Buffy/Spike relationship. Here's one:

Oh, and an official version of Robert Duncan's finale music is a must...totally awesome.

I'd love to hear a real orchestra record that.

Because Beck was the most talented of the whole lot. And his contributions where the most powerful and memorable. Every time I watch season 4 (which has the most unreleased stuff from him) for instance I'm yearning time and time again to hear these wonderful cues on CD. Not to mention a seperate disc for Hush and Restless (one can only dream).
Season 2 and 3 both got a promotional release but again, it was still missing a lot of stuff.

The only memorable cues from Thomas Wanker and Robert Ducan where the Youtube links you posted. Not enough warrant to have entire disc devoted to them in my opinion.

I think MV made it clear that it will panel the full series, which means we ll hear scores from every, or at least most of the composers. In my mind too Beck made the most memorable stuff, and the least interesting was from the first season... But there are other really cool things to hear too, that s for sure...

Agreed, especially since he wasn't there at the beginning (or the end).
