Lukas, are requests being considered for the Voyager collection, too? I ask only because I skipped over the big episodes (Scorpion, Year of Hell, Killing Game, Dark Frontier, Equinox, Endgame) because I assumed they'd be covered.

If that's not the case, I'd be happy to detail the cues I'd like to see from each of those, too smile

I can kind of understand wanting the Original Series opening titles with Shatner's narration, but there's a 15-CD set featuring every note of music from the show.

Actually...I recall in the gigantic thread for the original series music box, one user posted about a certain piece of music that wasn't on the set, and Lukas said to send it to him. He never confirmed whether it was on the set or not, as I recall. So maybe there is one missing bit of TOS music which can be included on this...

Heh, I thought about mentioning that. From memory: It was a scene from Miri that seemed to use an alternate cue from Conscience of the King. Right?

I never heard a yay or nay that this was actually missed or if the poster (and me) just couldn't find it on the set.

Another long shot, but if this is indeed supposed to celebrate the entire 50 year history of Star Trek I thought I'd mention it: Varese's Deluxe Edition of Giacchino's Star Trek Into Darkness score inexplicably left off a single cue in the film (and included in all the live performances, listed on the program and everything). Any chance it might be licensed for this set?

I want to second this request for that track, "Spock to Spock" - the absence of that track was one of the reasons I didn't pick up that deluxe release yet, it's a wonderful track I'd love to see on the 50th set.

I'll leave those with better knowledge to suggest tracks from the various TV series.

I would possibly suggest Brian Tylers score for the episode Canamar, but since I would like as much of that score released as possible I guess I hope it would make it to the next volume of Enterprise, rather than just a token track on this set.

What I would second/third/whatever is the Epilogue/End Title from Wrath of Kahn without narration. From all the wonderful music released from Star Trek over the years, this is the only thing I miss and since it's unlikely we'll get a new STII release, it would be great if this 50th set could include some of the best music from the films and maybe end with this clean cue.

Yeah, same here. Even though I hated the film I would have bought the Varese edition if only it hadn't apparently left off the cue through a simple oversight. (If I'd liked the film I would have still bought the DE...)

I agree with earlier posts about including the Original Series theme with William Shatner's narration.
It would be a great addition to the set!

Maybe a stupid question- but speaking of TOS music, has the re-recorded version of the theme used for Star Trek: Remastered been released anywhere? Not exactly a comparable piece of history, certainly- but still a noteworthy 'version' of the main theme to collect for completion purposes.

I would second the Way of the Warrior DS9 theme variation, btw.

For TWOK, am I missing something? I thought the expanded edition already had a narration-less version of the end titles...

how seriously will a request be considered ?

I dont want to have to waste my time putting cues I like up for a slim chance.

Extremely seriously! As Indy said: "hey...it's me."

This is a dream come true! Thank you so much for taking requests!

From Deep Space Nine,
*The score to Duet would be lovely (beyond the single track from the current release)
*...As would Badda Bing, Badda Boom (especially the 'slow motion walk' scene as they prepare to enter the holosuites)

I second this request for the music from Badda Bing, Badda Boom when the crew are all dressed up and walking in slow motion to the holosuite.

That's the one piece I came here to request.

Sorry, I don't know the timecode, though.

Thanks!

The re-recorded main theme was included on the 15 disc LLL set.

I find it amusing that multiple people want the original series Main Title with Shatner's narration when so many other people care about getting the Wrath of Khan finale without Nimoy's narration.

Spurred by the recent thread started about it, I wonder if highlights from other Star Trek game scores (the more worthy non-Ron Jones ones, since his were included on the Ron Jones Project box) might be included on this compilation. The final disc could be a sort of grab bag disc with non-film stuff, including Chattaway's Star Trek: The Experience (are there any other Star Trek "ride" scores?) and highlights from McCarthy's Star Trek: Borg, Gregory Smith's Star Trek: Klingon, Secret of Vulcan's Fury, etc. Maybe even some of Chad Seiter's recent game score, though I'd much prefer if such a large and developed orchestral work as it is could get a standalone release. But since that apparently wasn't possible, maybe the best parts could be included here.

I don't have that album and I'm not saying it isn't worthwhile, but as I understand it, it is entirely "arranged" (presumably for synth samples) for BSX by Dominik Hauser. It is definitely not the original recordings, as we got for Ron Jones's Starfleet Academy and Starfleet Command.

But if the existence of that album makes people not care about getting the originals, I understand and I'll just maintain the request for Chattaway's Star Trek: The Experience if it can be done.

Just to add some further clarification

The main thing we are looking for are cues that were left off previous TV releases, as well as obscure pieces of music that only the true fans would like -- source music, actors signing, etc.

We still plan on doing DS9 Vol 2, Enterprise Vol 2, and Voyager for this year, so any episodes that were not included on the original releases from us you shouldn't bother listing.

Think obscure.

Thanks

Also, list anything that was left off the films as well. We will do our hardest to include those as well.

Excellent news!

The revised Epilogue from TWOK without narration sounds like a shoe-in to be included, then!

I wish I knew more specifics but always enjoy source music from this universe. I'm most unfamiliar with DS9 but would hope Quark's bar might be a rich resource.

That's pretty obscure, and pretty great big grin
