Was ANIMANIACS a biography of Solium? Sorry not into modern day WB, so don't get the snide remark. Other than it must have been a snide remark. Not snide. Affectionate. Given.your passion for , and, vast knowledge of the genre!

Yet another gem written several decades ago, long missing in action and also a world premiere, has been completed and now enters the liner note phase. This one gets a lot of requests so people should be pretty happy when it lands. Probably unlikely, especially as Roger said it had been previously nixed by WB, but would love it if this was FIREFOX. You may well be right.... "This one gets a lot of requests so people should be pretty happy when it lands" ..... AFONE

The score mentioned a few weeks ago in which we located the first generation album masters AND the long missing and never-before-released complete score elements is now fully mastered and in the packaging and licensor sign-off stage. Did somebody locate Mad Max 2!?? Road Warrior was not from the 60's, so it's not that.

IF IT'S REISSUE TIME- MUSSOLINI- Laurence Rosenthal PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Add the Great Train Robbery and Something Wicked to that list. Hopefully, we'll see The Rocketeer back in stock. I already inquired about "The Great Train Robbery". It's a rights issue, so it isn't getting repressed any time soon.

IN HARMS WAY complete! Could be. We know that Intrada had a couple Sony-licensed titles in the pipeline before the moratorium on third party licensing earlier this year. We should be seeing those sooner rather than later, and this could be one of them. Hopefully Goldsmith's 'The Chairman' complete! This is what I wanted most of all...but it won't be this. Why? Twilight Time recently announced a Blu-ray of the film from them... which one would take as making it *more* likely, except that, sadly, the packaging claims it is an isolated music and effects track...like those they had in the past for Under Fire and Hour of the Gun, because the complete original score recording was lost. So there are our hopes, dashed. I still think the most likely Goldsmith title is Hour of the Gun. We know Doug loves the score, and Intrada has released the album recording in the past, but perhaps not from the first generation masters. This could have started as a search for those first generation masters for the album recording, along the lines of Intrada's great sounding reissue of the Stagecoach album recording, from the original masters for the first time. But in the process, they also ran across an unlabeled box that...well we've heard this story before, and I think even with UA titles (was The Great Escape one of them, when Varese originally put out their Deluxe Edition of the complete film recording?) I think what sometimes happened with United Artist films that got unique album recordings was that the record labels would get sent the complete film recording, for whatever reason (maybe as a point of comparison for the new album recordings?) I think we've seen this happen more than once where the complete score would get discovered in the possession of the record label that produced a new recording. So yeah, I'll bet one of these upcoming Intradas is a Goldsmith, and if so, I think it's Hour of the Gun. Outside chance of In Harm's Way. Sadly don't think The Chairman is a possibility at this point, unless it was only partially uncovered and a certain handful of cues only survive on a music and effects track. There's no chance Intrada discovers the complete score but Twilight Time doesn't get a copy. Yavar

GU? There have actually been more than two releases of this score, over the years. But this would be the premiere release of the original film recording under Goldsmith's baton, so -- all respect to the excellent Tadlow recording -- yes, I think there would be a market for this. Yavar

Yavar, you may have to do some sleuthing to figure out what "GU" stands for; it certainly isn't an abbreviation for any title I can see mentioned here.

Apparently he just left off the "N" at the end of "GUN" because he edited his post to add it in. Yavar
