But she didn't want to do that, and she shouldn't feel like she had to. She was even shy about sharing it via email with me, and only ultimately felt comfortable enough to because I had been so supportive and encouraging of her. I think we must have been corresponding on and off for several months before she shared any of her music with me. It's a very personal thing for people to do and be vulnerable about. (Jett Hitt -- who is male, in case that's unclear -- is another composer who has personally shared with me mockups of orchestral works he is in process on, but doesn't want to share publicly.) I somehow missed the thread where all of this went down (because it wasn't a thread about Alfred Newman or Jerry Goldsmith, I suppose hehe) so I'm guessing this is why she disappeared from the forum again...really a shame as she was a wonderful presence here. frown It's called keeping one's professional life separate. I know other (well known) composers who visit FSM regularly and even occasionally post, but not under their name. That's their choice and they're entitled to it. Not everyone has to be like Stu Phillips, Russell Garcia, or Chris Tilton all of whom I know have posted here in the past. But if that's true then why would anyone take issue with her declining to share if she didn't feel comfortable with it? I just don't get it. It's still all very puzzling. But you, Yavar, are actually burdened with the more difficult position--explaining that which often appeared unexplainable. I still maintain that she cultivated the curiosity by constantly talking about it. It is a fact that the attention she kept bringing to it is why I invited her to contribute to the pre-existing thread about music created by FSM members. I still maintain that a person creates a website because they desire exposure--to whatever degree may occur (anything else would more than likely be just vanity). And if that exposure is not desired, then it simply does not make sense to keep drawing the attention. It should be obvious that personal websites are not the only way to share one's work. YouTube and Bandcamp are ideal for spreading the word and still maintain one's privacy. As far as her identity here was concerned, she still maintained the necessary degree of anonymity in her profile. The only thing that would make sense to me is that she was not sure she could handle any critique of her work that she might interpret as negative.--and, mind you, that is a very valid and legit concern. But, here again, any line of work in the arts carries that risk and if one doesn't get used to that risk, then it's going to be very tough going all through that career. And I hasten to add that we here are all very appreciative of each other's creativity--to post something here does not automatically mean a thumbs-down or ridicule. Anyway, this has been neither the time or the place to talk about this to the degree that we did, and anything else I would add is only repeating myself pointlessly--not to mention that some might think this was a pile-on about WA or you, and I want to dispel that perception. So I'm going to yap up now and end on a handshake, my friend. Sorry for the threadjack, Mr. Kendall. (And Yavar, I've officially adopted you as an honorary step-son for your sense of decency--or maybe younger step-brother. )

The fact that Yavar has all this insider information but can't divulge any of this "evidence" makes matters worse as far as credibility of WagnerAlmighty. ...Yavar is one classy dude. The Octo Bromance

Yavar is a great guy! I've never had a negative discussion with him. He genuinely cares for people. No one said he wasn't!

I think we should commemorate "Oct. Sixth- "The Day Filmmusic Died " every October. We can call it " 10\6" for short.
