THE WILD WILD WEST: VOLUME 2

HOOK, we need. A proper redux as a new 3CD set with the Mike Matessino definitive touch. Yeah, Matessino's involvement is essential (I remember him saying back around 2000 when he was doing publicity for the Rhino Superman set that Hook was one of his dream projects) so hopefully he can convince Williams to allow a complete and chronological release of this! (I too have been waiting for decades to have certain of my favourite cues on CD, that as good as the previous 2 CD set was, it was still missing those key favourite moments for me). And hopefully they can also locate the missing masters for the final battle cues too!

My predictions: Avatar Sphere A League of Their Own Gladiator Interstellar The Matrix Family Man Phenomenon Sneakers Horse Whisperer Transformers You can scratch off The Matrix. Varèse owns that one and only they can release a true complete version of it. Also, Intrada tried to do Avatar, but were turned down because the score was too recent, so that can be scratched off as well.

You can scratch off The Matrix. Varèse owns that one and only they can release a true complete version of it. Actually this is no longer necessarily the case -- witness LLL sub-licensing the two Jerry Goldsmith Planet of the Apes scores from Varese, earlier this year! That had never happened before, but now it looks like LLL has established a relationship with some of the powers at Varese, and I think it might just be possible that Varese, already having released their own expanded Deluxe Edition, might let LLL pay them some money to release a further expanded complete edition. It's certainly more within the realm of possibility now than it was last year. Yavar

And, possibly, hold onto the rights and just re-issue the inferior expansion.

That would depend on whether or not they got approved before the Fox takeover.

If La-La Land get to do The Matrix in the same way as Reloaded and Revolutions, I'm right there. An expanded Matrix is a holy grail.

I'm still hoping for MacGyver, I think MV once mentioned possibly this year, and this year ends soon so...

Do we know when they are going to be announced? I'm unsure whether I should place an order with the new Max Steiner set (and other releases from the last few weeks) or if I should wait.

We have 3 more releases coming out before the Black Friday batch. Two on Tuesday, Nov 5 and 1 Nov 19. 5 releases planned for Black Friday. I'm sure we will anger/disappoint most of you. Do NOT expect anything like last year's batch. That was lightening in a bottle. MV
