Thanks to ryanpaquet in the 2021 thread for reminding me that GBII was coming in 2021, which I had completely forgotten about. So it's time to resuscitate this thread in anticipation.

Good, a 'new' release, because i'm getting tired of re-issues of re-issues with 30 seconds more than previous re-issue.
Still enough scores who haven't had a proper release
Go!

Is it really coming, because I can't find any information about it on Randy Edelman's website.

Yes. The info might've been removed as Edelman jumped the gun before Sony could announce it.

Randy Edelman's website (where this was initially announced) appears to no longer exist

Ah, the error message says:
"The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

That doesn't mean the site doesn't exist anymore.

I actually went looking for updates on this the other day. The site was still up. Maybe they're going to announce new details soon! (One can hope)

His website is back, but no longer lists Ghostbusters 2 as an upcoming release on the home page

Link is good, but the page is bad. Some coding error problem on their end it seems at a quick glance.

Huh. It was working not five minutes ago.

Basically, Amazon Canada and Germany have pre-order links up. Cover art matches Sony's release of the first score.

Release date is June 11th.

I haven't seen the film. Can anyone venture an opinion about the score?

If it is anything like the original - in tone - I'm in.

It's DEFINITELY different sounding in almost every regards. The 'Ghostbusters Theme' that Bernstein created wouldn't really fit here.... Well, ok. Maybe this TOTALLY OFFICIAL rendition of his theme would work in this film.

But I do enjoy the work that is done here. The moments with Venkman and Dana is nice plus the final act has some really great moments I wish I could listen to on their own.

I've checked some samples on YouTube. The music does sound quite different from the Bernstein score, but it seems pretty nice. I'll probably be getting this. Thanks.

Sadly it looks incomplete. Edelman gave me the score at Peter’s event a few years ago so it will be interesting to compare to the official tracklist. So far? Mine has more then what they show.

Yeah, I think we need more than an Amazon placeholder page and supposed track listing.

Holy shit people. It's legit. And just because some random guy on the internet says my bootleg looks different means NOTHING. You have no idea how they have edited it.
