I am still waiting for mine . not sure what the delay is with the post from spain to the uk however i never have any issues with other post so maybe its gone missing along the way ... I was hoping to order of amazon originally as they seem to have the older spanish version on there . You would think they would also have the english version on there would make good business sense !! Normal post is very unreliable !!

My book turned up today. The noise of it landing on my door mat woke me up! Great to finally see it. Has a good quality feel to it and a decent size. Lots of film and album stills with some JG here and there. Looking forward to reading through it. Nice to get a personal message from the author in the inside cover.

That’s cool. I had to contact the publisher as my confirmation a couple weeks ago showed incorrect address info (I entered right- they messed it up). They apologized and sent another copy priority mail. I appreciated that very much. Should be arriving next week.


Quick question... can you let me know which email address you sent to? I've tried two different ones for them but haven't received a response yet.

There is NOTHING on their order form indicating a preference for "shipping method," and yet they will not allow me to complete my transaction without noting a mode of shipment. Am I crazy or what? Where does the order form indicate or display a choice of shipping options? How the devil do I complete my order? I just don't get it.

I added a book to the cart. Did a submit. I just filled out the address form. When I enter a U.S. address it changes the postage option automatically to economic mode. I don’t think you have a choice to choose any other method. You should be able to get to that stage.

After I've completed filling in all of the required information, the order form tells me that there are "no shipping options available." When I attempt to complete the order, it tells me that I'm missing information and that I need either to check a "shipping option" or check my shipping address to make certain that it is correct. If "there are no shipping options available," how am I supposed to list a "shipping option." I've tried six times. I give up.

I must say I have not had such difficulties with any company, large or small, before. They shipped a replacement book because they messed up my mailing address on the original shipment. Now the replacement is showing an issue. the courier is some Spanish one and their website offers no help insofar as contacting anyone. The publisher insists I should have received some form of notification on my door of missed shipment. I did not.

Has anyone else in Canada ordered this book and received w/o incident?

I’m giving it another couple days for them to get their shit together and then I’m asking for a refund.

Update- they have been answering my msgs pretty quickly but they indicate this latest delay isn’t their fault. They will reach out to the courier in order to try to resolve this. Still not really impressed but I’ll see if things get straightened out.

Amazingly I had an email from them today to check I’d received my book! I don’t know why people are not getting replies to emails but I hope everyone gets their order soon.

I have not recieved my book still ... its now 2 weeks since they sent me an e mail saying it would be shipped , i recieved an email last week checking if i had recieved it , i responded to them to them twice with 2 updates of non delivery , however no response . I honestly dont know why they dont put the book on Amazon its more reliable for delivery . Im gutted as was so looking forward to reading the book....

Sooooooo. Turns out the Spanish courier handed off to Fed Ex which is why the tracking number the publisher gave me wasn't turning up anything. I received a call from Fed Ex earlier this week but there are so many scams and since I wasn't expecting anything from them, I just ignored the call (they didn't leave a msg either)

Anyhow, the book should be delivered tomorrow and I have a proper tracking number to follow up should anything go awry. Sheesh, what an ordeal. I've dealt with many overseas small businesses before but they never were as confusing and messed up as these guys... perhaps they are fine for European deliveries but for Canada, not so great.

Perhaps this thread should be called "Where's my order of Jerry Goldsmith A Musical Chameleon?" I've never seen a thread so devoted to shipping with barely any commentary about the contents from those who've actually got this book

Probably due to the fact that the majority of people haven’t gotten theirs yet due to the poor communication and delivery methodology used by this publisher.
