And I thought I was the only one with this issue and the same response by Mindi. Better were the days when Varese handled their own stuff. Boy is this a sad state affairs.
So clearly they are getting multiple people reporting the disc problem. You'd think they would understand there is clearly a problem and a bad batch of discs.
Today, I received an email from Misty at Concorde saying they would ship me a replacement ASAP. I'm surprised that you are getting a different response.

Having to jump through hoops here.

Same here. First I emailed the address they provided on the site, then Misty asked me to fill out a form. Now I'm waiting for another response. I'm curious if they'll replace the CD (are there even corrected ones available?) or send a refund. If they send a refund it could be tricky since I bought it using the discount with Mouse Hunt. I could end up paying a little more because of the defective disc but we'll see what happens.
Thankfully it's only track 1 that I'm having issues with on my end. I was able to rip the rest of the CD without issue and as someone who had never heard the score before, I have to say I'm enjoying it quite a bit!
------------------------------------------------------------------------ We have forwarded this claim to management. We are waiting for them to review and advise us on the best way to help you with your order.
Once we hear back from them, we will be back in touch with you asap. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heard back from Concord (Misty) again. Apparently, because I ordered the bundle with MOUSE HUNT (which they immediately refunded when I pointed out the CITY HALL error) they cannot now send me a replacement for just CITY HALL. So I will need to replace the order for the individual CD and hope that I get a good one. If not, I suppose they will be able to replace it this time? We'll see what happens.

It must be why they are telling me to wait until they figure out a solution. I haven't been refunded anything and I also ordered the bundle.
Yavar and David, will the Goldsmith Odyssey be doing a spotlight episode on this release? Varese's dogged insistence on not offering samples has me interested in getting a better taste of the unreleased material.
I regretfully won't be able to participate, but David and Clark are chatting with our friend liner notes writer Tim Greiving about the album on Friday (and then it'll likely take a couple weeks before a polished/edited episode is released).
I tried emailing my previous Varese contacts twice about getting advance access to a digital master or something so we could have an episode ready sooner, but alas for whatever reason I never heard back from any of them. So we had to wait for our own copies of the CD to arrive before we could even listen to the album and absorb it. That happened this past weekend and David has already dug into a lot of the differences between album/film/alternate cues and such. I'm sure he and Clark will have an excellent conversation with Tim, and I know our listeners will be interested to hear it (including sound samples of the most interesting previously unreleased material).

Sounds great, thank you. I look forward to hearing it!
So you got to essentially keep Mouse Hunt for free?
It appears that way. I never asked for nor expected a refund -- I was just looking to get the defective CITY HALL disc replaced. But it doesn't seem like they had a clear plan for a scenario like this one. At this point, I'm not automatically expecting that my second copy will be screened for the defect in advance, but I don't see any other way to proceed.
Damn, I'm bit worry. I can't buy CDs myself, using intermediary-service. This means that I can get actual CD in 1-1,5 months or so. And I doubt that they will agree to do refund/replacement after so much time. So - should I wait month or so, when they'll solve problem? Or what? I don't want another Lionheart situation - CD is in-print, wait, CD is sold out, wait, it's in-print again...
