Audio differences between 2 disc and 3 disc set please? The old 2-disc edition from 2012 was built from incomplete sources of varying quality, since the full scoring masters were inaccessible at the time. It lacked some overlays, film takes and unused material. Film stems were used to patch certain missing sections. The new 3-disc edition has been transferred, rebuilt and remastered entirely from the original analog scoring masters (except for two song demos from a DAT). The difference compared to the old edition is more dramatic in some tracks than in others, but it's an improvement across the board! Ha I almost wrote you directly to ask you about this two weeks ago, so hello!

Also still awaiting shipment. I purchased all of the Dec releases so maybe there's an issue with one of the others.

Mine is still Awaiting Shipment. Patience, patience. My last two LLL orders (Wuthering Heights in June and Gorky Park/The Lost World in August) never changed from "Awaiting Shipment," yet they arrived safely. When I look at my account now, months later, they still say "Awaiting Shipment."

Really random question, but did anyone else notice the artwork on the CDs is slightly different than what's pictured? My CDs have a white outer rim vs the normal Jim Titus style artwork where you can see the silver of the CD like what's pictured (or even like Mask of Zorro). Normally I wouldn't have noticed but I almost feel like it's a staple of his work at this point. I noticed, and I actually prefer the white rim. The more traditional look suits this release. What I also noticed, as someone who does design and publishing, is how dark the printing is. The spine text is very hard to read. Boosting the light/contrast on the print files helps, as images on a computer screen are always brighter than prints. But that's small potatoes. This release is fabulous.
