I am personally really curious about KRULL. Are the tracks the exact takes/mix used for the Supercollector set? I know the sound is improved on this new one, but I remember very different takes used in the film (Riding the Firemares, Vella). It would be nice to get an those alternates. Thanks!

Eek, careful with that. Thaxton'll scream down your throat at the mere mention of... alternates... <_<

Well in the case of the VELLA cue, the version on the album is the only version.
In the film (This is covered in Jeff Bond's notes) the cue was edited and they removed a portion of it which accounts as to why it sounds a bit different in the film, but it's still the same cue.
Riding the Firemares as I recall is the same version that is on the album that you also hear in the film.

You could have told me that the first time! None of this "WRONG!" nonsense the last time we talked about it.
I wonder if Ford or MV could comment on the "Batman Theme (Action Mix)" that was released by WB at the time of the album's original release, on a promotional CD single?
Is this included on the new CD set, under a different title, perhaps?
If not, was any consideration given to including it?
Wow what amazing news. Especially for Batman. Can't wait for that. This will be awesome.
You know La La Land Records is responsible for so many great scores being released. I was wondering. What are the whereabouts to the Die Hard With a Vengeance score? Does La La Land Records ever plan on releasing it?

Whoa, that reminds me... was the Elfman recording of the 60's show theme just a rumor, or did that actually happen?
I'll be happy to sextuple dip for KRULL. One of my favorite scores. The opening is just magic, especially if you have a chance to see and hear it on the big screen. To anyone in the Seattle area, sometimes they show it in summertime at the Cinerama. One of my first adult soundtrack purchases was the SuperTracks set, direct from their retail store in Garden Grove. Then I picked up 3 different Southern Cross versions (2 CDs, 1 LP) and a French LP, only because I used to be a huge KRULL memorabilia collector and had to have everything KRULL-related (anyone want a prototype Glaive kid's toy ?) . I don't know if many people know this, but there was even a rare composer promo on eBay once - in a cardboard sleeve with hand-drawn cover artwork - but I lost it to another KRULL collector from Japan. I saved a photo and description on my other computer and I can post it later in another thread for the curious. Thanks for giving KRULL (and Batman!) another go-round MV! Just the fact that its on your label should make it a no-brainer purchase, even if someone already has the SuperTracks version, IMO.
The film edit of "Charge of The Batmobile" differs. Instead of the pizz at :59, there's a timpani hit and some low strings before seguing into the repeating triumphant fanfares heard in the album version.

Haha thanks. I missed "Roasted Dude" on the disc 1 track list somehow.
What's the deal with the Finale having different (**) / (***) indicators between discs 1 and 2?
First finding out Hayden Panettiere knows who Jerry Goldsmith is
Wait... what?
She understands heroes.
IM'ing her on Skype last week, I sent her a YouTube link to a video with "End Of A Dream" from Total Recall (her response: "Cool" - which pretty much sums it up) and asked her if she had any of his stuff, and she said she had High Velocity and Demolition Man - the latter's Elliot Goldenthal, but close enough.
I seem to recall Ford talking (several years ago) about an unused end credit "song" for Krull which featured a female vocalist. Is that on the set or can any info be shed about it?
If it does exist, would that make it the first of many Horner End Credits songs? (Titanic, A Beautiful Mind, Avatar, etc...)
