I'll take a stab in the dark: Dusan Radic's GENGHIS KHAN? I think that the film was released in 1965, so perhaps it would be considered as mid-sixties, rather than early sixties?

That is an excellent guess. Not correct, but excellent. Also, the person who posited the mid-60s or the early 60s was merely positing. This score is from a different decade. smile

80s? Zbigniew Preisner?
or 70s... Ron Goodwin!

What kind of film?

Is this guy French?

Not French at all. In no way French. French this composer is not. If you're thinking this composer is French, don't think it because this composer is not French.

Are you sure? Sounds like you're not sure. smile

Not Eyetalian. This one's getting so tough I think I've forgotten what we're doing smile It's not the 80s or the 90s.

M'kay, so it's the '70s or the '50s and he's not Eyetalian. Libyan? Guatemalan? Greek? Lithuanian? Cuban? Chinese? Czech? Canadian?

Manos Hatzidakis again?

James

Oh wait. It's a NEW composer to Kritzerland. Nevermind.

So I'll go with Mikis Theodorakis instead.

Another clew? Okay. The composer is not very well known these days. This score is fantastic, with a great main theme. The film, though maligned at the time, has actually worn quite well.

Well, for those who have been whishin' and hopin' and prayin' for a release of Saint Joan, an absolutely brilliant score by the wonderful composer Mischa Spoliansky, well, let's just say that those of us at Kritzerland would be doing more than dancing a jig!

Whoa! Is this expanded? And are we getting a Saul Bass cover?

Well, if we were lucky enough to do Saint Joan, of course we're getting the Saul Bass cover - which is, like the score, brilliant. I don't believe it would be expanded, but I think the original LP had most if not all the music.

How about ROMANCE OF A HORSE THIEF by Mort Schuman? I am not sure however where he was born.
