New to Kritzerland? American or European?

Boy, it's getting hard to remember what we've done smile But, I think one is new to Kritzerland and one isn't.

Sorry was having "What's my Line?" flashbacks.... smile

Premiere releases, or reissues?

Both scores have been on CD before separately and are long OOP. This CD is incredible value for money and has at least one unique thing about it.

Great scott! I'm glad i ordered it when I did but for my sake I hope this double header isn't something I need but given your track record of awesome releases I will probably abandon everything and order it right away!

Is the unique thing - the location where the movies were set? same character in each movie?

Are the movies from the 1960s?

No, the "unique" comment refers to presentation, which differs slightly in each case from the previous CD releases.

One movie is certainly from the 1960s.

Are these from the UA catalogue?

Are these from the UA catalogue?

A number of UA titles could do with a re-release. John Barry's The Knack should always be in print, & how about a Burt Bacharach double, What's New Pussycat/After The Fox...not that I'd be buying them, as I still have the Ryco CD's.

I'd really like a double bill of After The Fox which would include the Bacharach score and also Piero Piccioni's score for the Italian release of the film!

The Chase is the Barry score I'd like to hear in decent sound.

Yes to UA, yes to European for both composers. And these will sound better than their previous versions and again, both previous versions were separate releases and have been OOP for years - so for folks who never picked them up this is a tremendous value for money package - but, for me, I will always pick up a new release if it betters the sound - but that's me.

Could one of them be 'The Whisperers' OR 'The Knack' by John Barry?.

Both 60s
Both UA
Both have OOP CD releases
John Barry is European.

hmmm... still fingers crossed either for THE PROFESSIONALS or THE COLLECTOR.

INTERLUDE would be great too, but unfortunately has never been on a CD.

Same for Les Caprices de Marie, Le Diable Par La Queue, and Women in Love: All Delerue scores from the 60s that have appeared on United Artist LPs but not on CD (excluding compilations).

Maybe next time.
