Cool. First Knight is a must buy.

But why?

Because it's magnificent! The CD issued way back when has none of the pomp and majesty you can hear watching the film. The major music sequences are on the CD, but without the fanfares and shorter cues, the brilliance of the score as it is heard with the film, is simply missing. And the listening experience suffers, IMO.

Lehah, I think you misread my post as completely criticizing the box set. Although I do think it is partially my fault for burying my statement that I still think it is a fantastic deal in the middle of that post. I doubt very many people here are going to disagree with my characterization of the Djawadi score though. I think the majority of people are buying this set for the first six discs, that alone are going to be wonderful to listen to over and over (especially because I don't have any of the scores on disc yet).

1.) Let people decide on their own.

2.) You don't need to bring rain clouds every time you see sunshine. If you don't like it, thats fine - but this is really not the thread nor the time to state such.

After Star Trek V and First Knight, I think LLL has become one of the top labels for Holy Grails.

That MOH set will make a LOT of people very, very happy as well. smile

I wonder what their Comic-Con titles will be... the mind boggles ...

Probably Die Hard and Batman Forever. Hopefully HOOK, but I'd imagine that will be a holiday release instead

Personally, my one true Holy Grail release would be Star Trek TMP.

First Knight is HUGE news, and if they can swing that and Star Trek V, Star Trek TMP would be a logical crowning achievement.

But those two releases would be great.

I'm secretly hoping for Star Trek: TMP but there might still be "issues" with it, as Jeff Bond mentioned a while back.

But I plan on fully savoring these releases right now. smile

EDIT: You beat me to it with a reply to your own comment!

The album also omits at least one spectacular action cue, when Guinevere is first ambushed in the forest and Lancelot rescues her. It's built around a wonderful, driving motif that I don't think appears anywhere on the soundtrack. I can't wait to hear it done justice.

FIRST KNIGHT is along THE GHOST & THE DARKNESS my favorite Goldsmith score of the 90s.
Well add to this THE 13TH WARRIOR. A first class release from LLL ! Bravo !
After LINK , this is really a great year for Goldsmith fans.

I'm impressed by the scope of the MOH soundtracks. I've never really explored these, but I've known of their existence since the 90's. I wasn't aware there were so many!! Just to be a little nitpicky, it's called FOREWORD, not forward. Forward is a direction. But impressive that you got Spielberg to do one.

FIRST KNIGHT is a great score, but an expansion doesn't interest me, as most probably would guess. Had the boot once, hated it and threw it in the trash bin. But I do seem to remember that there was at least one piece of music on the boot that was a worthwhile addition to the listening experience.

Hey! We don't need no Norwegian to tell us how to speak our language! Keep that attitude back in Norwegia!

It also missed one thing on the original album : the theme written for Lancelot (aka First knight)!! You heard it a few times in this comedy... oups, that's not a comedy...
It was funny at this time that the "principal" theme was not on the album...
I hope that all the drum sequences (when Lancelot has to prove his innocence) will be as "bonus tracks"!!

Well, I say 'thank you Thor'! I'm a stickler when it comes to grammar, and it really bugs me when I see misspelled words and such. Unfortunately, it's all too common in a texting world.

What am I getting down for? LLL is coming out with INCREDIBLE releases! Woo-hoo!

On the principle that the best jokes are the ones you have to explain, I say proudly that I was kidding. Thor is, of course, correct, and I join you in bemoaning the careless attitude toward grammar so prevalent today.

Also, there is no country called "Norwegia."

Yeah, I understood that. I was just agreeing with him. Maybe if I left out your joke (which I did enjoy) then it would have been clearer.

Don't think you did. I was just a misunderstanding. I'm glad you have a sense of humor too. wink

Now, on to ordering the MOH box from Darkdel...
